Lots of intereting facts about the development of my home town. My great grandfather Jim Miller bought his family down from south Georgia to landscape Bok Singing Tower. My grandfather, William "Neil" Hardman, came from Athens, GA.to sell furniture and then became the assistant post master, Lake Wales Post Office. My grandparent had three children. Mary Neil Hardman Whitmire Chandley is my mothed. She was an advocate for education and started First United Methodist Pre-school. My dad, Quinton Whitmire Sr. was a contractor and built Lake Wales High School and many original Disney buildings including the now called Disney Springs shopping plaza.
