Surprising little gem in an unassuming location in Lake Wales. We stopped in, while visiting Lake Wales on business, based on a recommendation from a local. We're really glad we did because we got a great lunch and took home some delicious cheeses, authentic scrapple (that we cooked up next morning for breakfast with homemade biscuits), and some heavenly snacks. Tim and crew are all super friendly and really seem to enjoy sharing some pleasant time with their customers. The food is outstanding and served in very satisfying portions. We had the special LW Philly Panini on grilled Tuscan white bread. It was very tasty with really unique black pepper overtones and velvety white cooper cheese. We also shared cups of chicken and poblano soup and broccoli and cheese soup, both of which were rich and full of flavor. On the side we each had a crunchy pickle spear that didn't skimp on size or taste. And did I mention that everyone on the Crew there was fun and friendly? This is one of my favorite restaurants to order from and I will tell you why. Not only is the food so good, it’s Fast and I’ve never had any issues with missing items or incorrect items! The customer service is absolutely amazing. I have been ordering lunch from them for months now on door dash! One day I received the wrong sandwich, so I called and asked about the sandwich and explained what happened, and Tim the manager or owner was put on the phone he was so understanding and showed he cared about the issue! I was reassured about the sandwich and explained how much I love their food and I told him I would redo the order on door dash! So I sent in another door dash order and I receive a text message asking me if I like lettuce on my sandwich, i thought it was the door dash driver but it was Tim from the restaurant! Tell me a time restaurants truly go the extra mile like this, because this was the only place I have ever seen do that! When I received the second order he gave me a few surprise desserts! First time visiting the Lake Wales Cheese Shoppe & Deli today. We walked in as customers and left as friends!

Grace and Tim are phenomenal people. We were immediately greeted, and since this was our first time there, Grace explained the menu and answered our questions. They have a wide selection of cheese and meats and offered us to try their products. Everything was freshly sliced and cut to our liking. Not only a sit-down or pick-up deli, but you can order cheese and meat by the pound to take home! Inside the deli is very clean and organized!
