How some of these employees got hired here is beyond me. Employee (new guy I guess) looked annoyed when having to do a cash trade for a console. Oh no, something that involves effort. It's almost as if you're getting paid to do it? Didn't even know anything about the console whatsoever despite it came out, what, 8 years ago? lol and it took em 30-45 mins for a simple trade.., wasn't even busy at all. Not to mention, the SGA wasn't much help to speed things up. Could barely navigate POS at all. Had plenty of time to talk about Pokémon though with the other guy. 😂 And for the 30+ mins I was there, he could barely deliver a PUR pitch and got turned down on every single one for the 2-3 customers that did come during that ridiculous process. And i can't 100% confirm this, but I'm almost positive dude behind the counter marked my system as defective despite everything was in "good condition" according to him. Never gave me a receipt either. Got 20$ less than what I was quoted online on GameStop's website, and that was w/the 10% boost. 😂 I didn't want to accuse him of doing that, but it's whatever now. I bet you as soon as I walked out that store the console wasn't magically defective anymore, selling at full pre-owned value, right? Everybody needs to stay clear of GameStop's trade system. Apparently, plenty of other customers at many different locations have been getting lowballed with their trades despite GameStop's online trade quotes. What a joke. Corporate needs to reset...
Read moreI went in around 2pm today (Monday) with my husband and son. There were 2 or 3 employees working and only a few other customers in the store. We spent around 30 minutes browsing and nobody ever approached us to ask if we needed help finding anything or had questions. Even when I was clearly searching extensively for a specific item in the Pokemon section about 2 feet away from a female employee, she just continued to stand behind the counter doing nothing.
When I was ready to check out, I approached the counter and put my purchase there. The male employee was less than 2 feet away behind the counter, but ignored me for several minutes, looking around the store and at his computer without saying anything to me. The female employee was still standing in the same place behind the other end of the counter where she had been the whole time we were there.
I understand if maybe he was busy with something but he could have at least acknowledged my presence and let me know he would be with me in a moment. Instead I was left feeling like I was invisible and not worth noticing. I ended up walking...
Read moreI've been a loyal and valued customer to this GameStop for over 10 years. I have a pro member account and I've bought all my physical games and consoles from this location. But after what I witnessed today I will start buying all my games through my PlayStation account and my consoles through Best buy or Walmart. I witnessed a sweet gentleman trying to buying a PS5. He was asking questions and expressed concerns because it was refurbished. And the only new one was on display out of the box. Which I think are valid questions. He decided he would prefer to buy a new one later on. After he left while other customers including myself where still in the store. The cashier and another customer that was in line behind him started making fun of him. I know you can't control what the customer was doing but the cashier was also making fun of the previous customer. This shows me that if I ask questions at this GameStop or shop here I have a high chance of being ridiculed after I leave. So I prefer to take my business else. Goodbye GameStop. This happened around 1:30 PM on...
