Club Windward Venue and Catering — Attraction in Lakeland

We are so pleased that we decided to go with Club Windward as the caterer for our wedding! We had initially signed a different caterer, but they announced that they were shutting down only 6 months before our big day, so CW totally saved us. Even with the relatively short notice, they put together a fantastic spread at a very reasonable price point.

Dan, the owner, was awesome: so kind and accommodating, and wonderfully communicative. And y’all, Chef Georgia Smith is an artist. We started with a huge charcuterie and cheese display along with hummus and accouterments during our cocktail hour, and then for the meal we had rosemary and garlic pork tenderloin, lemon garlic chicken, twice baked mashed potatoes, parmesan zucchini and squash, and balsamic roasted brussels sprouts. All of it was delicious and beautifully presented, but I would say that the pork tenderloin and mashed potatoes were our faves. Oh, and DEFINITELY get the dessert shooters. It’s been over a month since our wedding, and our guests are STILL raving about those banana pudding shots!

We also had great service from the bartender and the serving staff. I had heard that sometimes couples are too busy to eat at their own wedding, but CW took care of us! They put together a massive plate of a bit of everything and had it ready for us at our sweetheart table when we sat down. Additionally, they did a fantastic job with clean up and thoughtfully packed up all the leftovers for us at the end of the night. It’s those little details that make the difference. My family and I had the absolute best experience working with Club Windward's outside catering for my wedding this Fall. Jesse is the BEST. From our first call, she understood the type of food and service we wanted for our formal wedding and worked tirelessly to create the perfect menu, tastings, and ambiance for us. She is exceptionally professional, responsive, and so reassuring during a stressful planning time. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. Jesse met with us several times to answer our millions of questions, tweak the menu, and plan every detail. They tended to the bar, managed the rentals, and helped the entire wedding run smoothly. The quality of food and service at Club Windward is unmatched. I was most confident that they would contribute to the success of our wedding, and they exceeded our expectations. Love this place!! I chose this venue for my wedding because of the price. Thinking it’s just going to be mediocre. But my expectations were blown out the window!! Dan was super easy to talk to and very accommodating. The food was amazing as well. We had chicken with lemon garlic, pesto salmon, veggies, mashed potatoes, asparagus, and fruits.
