Wayback Burgers — Restaurant in Lakeland

Our family of 4 decided we wanted to try out the milkshakes rather than going to another establishment. We ordered 2 Mint Chocolate Chip, 1 Brownie and 1 Cinnamon Toast Crunch once we sat down for a few minutes we were told they no longer had Mint Chocolate Chip which was not a big deal, places run out of things so the kids opted for the Brownie instead. The kids milkshakes came out after about 10 minutes and we noticed that it was vanilla ice cream with a chocolate drizzle but only 1 of them had a very small piece of brownie instead it while the other had no brownie at all. We didn’t want to make a big deal about it so we didn’t say anything and my wife told my daughter she could have her brownie when it came out. We waited another 30 minutes for the last 2 to come out, there were no other customers ordering food and we ended up being the last people there waiting. By the time Taylor brought the last 2 out, he offered no apology for the extremely long wait and didn’t seem to care much and we decided to just take them back home. On our way home my wife noticed there was no brownie in hers either and after tasting it stated it tasted burnt, I tried it and it was in fact disgusting. When trying my Cinnamon Toast Crunch, it was completely drowned with what tasted like caramel and it tasted horrible, the kids ended up tasting fine minus the missing brownie for the “Brownie Milkshake”. Needless to say we ended up throwing ours away when we got home. When spending $30+ you would think it would be a decent product and that it wouldn't take 40 minutes unless they were busy with...

What a great find! We only knew about this place because we had dinner the other night at a restaurant a couple of doors down. This has a smaller menu, but with some interesting burger options. Everything is cooked to order and what was great was that it didn't come out too fast where they just threw the food together, nor did it take too long. We both got the double cheeseburger and the cashier let's you know exactly what it comes with so you can customize if necessary, which I appreciated. The burgers were perfect. Well seasoned patties, quality toppings, and a soft, but firm bun that doesn't disintegrate while eating. We were both very impressed, and agreed this was the best place we've eaten since coming to TN two months ago. The staff was great! Everyone was very friendly and attentive. They did a good job keeping busy even though the shop was slow at the time. A couple of downers: the chocolate milkshake was weak on the chocolate. We even asked to be sure it was chocolate because it looked and tasted like vanilla. I would suggest asking for double chocolate next time. Also, the app is not easy to navigate. After installing it on my phone, it was difficult to add my receipt to get the points. It said they were having difficulties finding my recept number and to try again later. I really wanted to give a positive review and I almost never give negatives. But this was awful. I only give it 2 because the staff I interacted with were nice. My order was wrong, after waiting 40 minutes. They redid it but it was terrible. The fries look great but are bland and flimsy. I placed an order while I was there for takeout and waited. Every table that had diners at it had one or more people from their group have to go up front because their sandwich was wrong. It seemed like nice kids working there, but that's just it...It look like only kids working there. It seemed like they were trying but we're overwhelmed. Then I heard them decide to tell people coming in that it was a 45-minute wait so they could try and get caught up. Good luck. Maybe I'll try them again someday but definitely...
