The Lake District — Local services in Lakeland

The retail and food locations are nice. However, the overall vibe is lackluster with the roads not in finished condition, likely because of pending construction. I've heard multiple people wanting to live in the proposed housing. I see the model homes are built. It would be beneficial to bring in a local developer / builder and start building that neighborhood.

Also, there are piles of sewer pipes that are visible from Canada Rd. which are unsightly. I'm surprised City of Lakeland doesn't enforce this any better than they are.

I feel like there is a lot of potential, however, there doesn't seem to be a lot of effort from the developer who has also had multiple financial issues with the property over the years. Another owner would likely get this...
