It is really a good park . There's playground for the kids there's good fishing stores nearby good grassy area nice gazebo but the reason I'm giving it 3 out of 5 stars it's because once it gets towards dusk it's kind of sketchy to be there by yourself anymore let alone with family because of the homeless people and I'm not knocking on the homeless people at all but it's really bad right next to the boat ramp there's at least 6/10 setup and they usually keep yourself but it gets kind of sketchy and I've seen some pretty weird people and it's just doesn't seem like a place anymore you want to be after dark and that's really sad I grew up here. Good thing we're getting the new park hopefully it turns out as well as they say it...
Read moreLoved Library Park, lots of parking, free boat launch, dog area and free dog bags! Public restrooms are available. No smoking or drinking is allowed in the park and dogs must be on leashes. They offer a recreation room by reservation only as far as U know. Lots of sunshine and grass to sit in and enjoy the days. The people are always friendly and it's in the middle of downtown so you're close to everything. I highly recommend visiting Library Park if you're in Lakeport, Ca. There are several different walking trails throughout the city with a map located in the park. Have fun exploring Northern California. Please like this...
Read moreA remarkably well preserved ghost town in the eastern sierra. Although there’s a lot of structures still standing, only 5% of the original buildings remain today in a state of “active decay”, which means they are repaired but not restored. Plan for at least 2 hours, wear comfortable shoes and be prepared in the summer for the heat. The self guided walking tour is the best way get the history of Bodie. I’m sure this is a good spot for families, you’ll find metal scraps, broken glass and other items from long ago spread across the site - this place is not a playground but a CA historical site. Staff is helpful, friendly and...
