A hidden gem by the lake! 💎 🌊🏞🛥 Anchorage Inn Lakeport offers the perfect lakeside escape. The rooms are spacious, the views are breathtaking, and the peaceful atmosphere makes it feel like a true retreat. Loved the BBQ area, pool, and the personal deck for boats such thoughtful touches! The two brothers managing the property are incredibly welcoming and have top-notch customer service. Can’t wait to come back!

Last place we could get a room at but at a good price. AC worked well and that's what saved us during the heat wave but place could be a lot better w more detail to inside and outside attention. Able to sleep so that's what mattered most to me.

From the photos online, the hotel looked a little dated, but since we were just using it for a place to sleep, I figured it would make due. The rates were the cheapest I could find in the area so that was a huge plus. I grew up in this area and never had a need to visit the hotel so I really didn't know what it was like. At check in, I was greeted by, I assume, the owner. He was nice and check-in was pretty quick. We had a friend drop us off, and I don't think he believed me when I said there were only two staying in the room, but we weren't charged extra. When we got into the room, I was pleasantly surprised to see it was updated compared to the online photos. After shutting the door, the horrors began. The front, white door was covered in I don't know what. Black smears up and down with a huge dent the size of a fist in it. The lime green accent wall was smeared and speckled with dark stuff. The smoke detector above the vanity looked like it had been ripped off the wall, with exposed wires and the back to hold it. There was what looked like poop on the in the corner as well. When I opened the bathroom, I gasped. There was a huge black mold spot on the ceiling above the toilet, the toiletries looked like they had just been thrown on the back of the toilet and sink counter. The shower curtain, bathroom floor, door frame all were dirty and looked like they had never been cleaned. There was another hole on the front of the bathroom door that looked like another fist hole. None of the towels in the room looked like they had been put in nicely, and just lazily set down. The throw pillows on both needs both had stains on them, one of them looking really shady. The TV was huge and looked new, but had something on it that had dripped down and dried. I was honestly afraid to touch anything. Surprisingly enough, after inspecting the beds and sheets, they were clean. With it being as late as it was and us not having a way to go anywhere else, we stayed for one of our two booked nights. We couldn't handle a second and thankfully got a refund for the second night. I've been in and worked in some shady hotels, but this hotel has to be the worst. The housekeeping just really seems to not care? The floors and bedding were clean and the room didn't smell bad, but the glaring issues with the stains and stuff on the walls, the towels, the carelessness of the soaps just being thrown down show that they don't care. The smoke detector missing was also a huge worry and I'm pretty sure illegal. I would have asked for s refund for our first night as well, but we used the room. We didn't have much of a choice, but we still paid. I would not recommend this hotel unless they seriously reevaluate their housekeeping and maintenance. If this were a corporate chain hotel, they'd be shut down. Fortunately for them they're in a small town with...

Ok...so...although not an upscale motel, definitely upscale management and owners!! 😀 It was absolutely perfect for my family...husband , 3 boys all under 10 and baby. We got a cottage/cabin to stay..ours didn't have kitchenette but did have mini fridge/microwave. Other cottages/rooms have kitchenette and we will get one next time.Pros/Cons:Pros: Quite. Great staff! Pool. Lakeviews and on lake! Kayak / canoe launch /access , dock, pier, fishing, sand/beach for kids, some residents appeared long term but nice. Property has upscale up close cameras EVERYWHERE !! The cameras helped it to feel VERY safe! Renee's Cafe/Dinner right across the street ,walking distance and yummy wonderful and affordable! VERY basic rooms and a place to lay your head but it was QUITE!! Very relaxing! Good tv and channels. No bathtub just shower but good water pressure and hot water. Requested a late check out due to baby and kids and no problem!! 😊 Staff very laid-back, flexible, accommodating! 👍 I fully appreciate and bless them good karma! 🙏. It is obvious it's been recently renovated since the floods of 2017 & 2019! Floors, painted interior, tile, all good. Coffee maker good, a/c good. You can tell they have been upgrading and working on improvement since the floods! Unless you have lived in flooding zones or experienced a Flood, you cannot and will not appreciate this place or their improvements.CONS: Flood took out hot tub access. I was told no rooms have hot tubs. No game rooms as advertised on one site but that's ok...lake, sand, pool satisfied us and our kids! Do not trust pictures on priceline. They are from 2007 & 2009. They've had some floods and trying to rennovate. For the better but still keeping their heads up. There was no ice container or soap in cottage. But when requested, it was remembered between busy phone calls and brought to our cottage. I was impressed it was remembered and delivered!! Cottage 14 did not have a phone to contact office /front desk/staff. But had convienant outlets to charge our cell phone and laptop. And in walking distance to the office. Would stay there again and next time will stay 3-5 nights mainly for the get easy lake access for kayak and fishing. And cause our...

After reading all the reviews on line about the Anchorage Inn, I thought “it couldn’t be this bad.” But it was.||||The check-in experience was great. The woman behind the counter was very nice and helpful. ||||Our room smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. We realized that the lobby staff smoke, and it drifts up into the rooms.||||The room was not clean. The towels in the bathroom did not seem to have been washed. There was lipstick on one, and they did not smell like they just came out of a washer, one smelled like someone’s head. Same with the sheets on the bed, they were wrinkled, had greasy stains on them, and it seemed like the staff thought they looked clean enough and left them on the bed. ||||There was no bathmat for the shower, and the window in the bathroom had no screen.||||There were no cups for the coffee maker in our room.||||There was chipping paint everywhere, and just signs of neglect. There had been a leak in the shower and the repair job was sloppy. ||||After the first night, we noticed whiskers stuck in the bar of soap (which had been sealed when I opened it). I had not shaved while staying there, so the whiskers must have been left on the counter by a previous guest.||||There was an electrical outlet with no cover, a smoke alarm with a plastic bag over it, 2 outlets were put in upside down, it felt like no one at the hotel cared.||||This is really a shame because they just bought the motel next door, so now there’ll be 2 rundown hotels that don’t have clean rooms.||||Our room happened to overlook the street and early one morning the truck came to pick up the recycling. Unfortunately, the recycle bins were full of food and garbage and the motel got red-tagged for putting garbage in the recycle bins. Another sign of how they don’t care.||||We had other family members staying in the hotel as well. They asked for a few more towels and it sounded like the hotel didn’t want to give them any.||||It was just a shame all the way around. It just felt like the owners did not care at all. They are content to take the money and let the guests complain. It feels like the owners assume most vacationers won’t be back anyway, so who cares. IF you read the other comments, nothing has changed in 5 years. Rooms and linens dirty, management does not like to give you...
