As a first time attempted escapee, I suppose it either speaks volumes about me or their own ability that my friends were perfectly comfortable dropping me into the toughest situation offered here, but I ended up sweating through a great time. Most of my initial concerns were allayed by Lexi's friendliness and genuine enthusiasm for her role in the experience. She was insistent I (everyone else, too, for that matter) not try to solve puzzles by putting my mouth on things. Seemed fair enough, so I followed that one guiding principle to a great first time experience at an escape room. Lexi was a legitimate part of that success and the overarching puzzle itself was engaging and evoked some true drama as the clock wound down. Loved the experience, even if I admit I spent most of it making Jim-like faces and shrugging at the camera because like Lexi, I was largely spectator to my...
Read more**edit- we went back for Mystic Escape and it was EVEN BETTER. We really loved the puzzles and our game master, Keegan was excellent. This room was more fun for us, but also more difficult. Highly recommend.
Loved the Billy Bonka room! It was a really unique room, compared to other escapes we have done, and our game master, Ace, was super kind and helpful. They knew when we needed a little nudge, and played her role perfectly! A few things that set this particular escape apart for us were the lack of padlocks and the unique styles of puzzles. Plus Ace captured and wrote down funny things we said during our puzzle solving as an added personal touch (these had us cracking up after). The puzzles were challenging enough to keep us thinking but not so hard we wanted to give up at any point. We will absolutely go back for the other rooms...
Read moreWe did Experiment C73 in Arvada and had a blast. I've done probably ten or so escape rooms at this point, but the design concepts here were unique and the presentation and build quality was great. Many puzzle rooms say that the players have to work together to succeed, but this room takes that idea to a whole other level! Alas, the room (which was rated hard) turned out to be the very first escape room we've failed to escape from... The puzzles all made sense in retrospect, but you really have to be on your game to beat this one. We tried it with 4 players but I think 6 (experienced) players might be optimal. Despite our failure, it was still fun, and I look forward to trying their other rooms. Our host Jay was also fantastic and really got into character which added to the atmosphere. Highly recommended if you like...
