Daiso - Japanese Household Goods — Attraction in Lakewood

Hey, Fatso! No more Daiso! You shop there too much!

But, Coach! Daiso is great! There's so much cool stuff that I don't need or particularly want, but they're so cheap & cute that I have to have them! ;p

A night & day difference between this & the Daiso Japan Artesia, being much more spacious, with actual shopping carts. The rad double-decker old school ones. In comparison, the Artesia store is very small & cramped, almost claustrophobic even. Plus, parking in the Pavilion's lot isn't a problem, unlike in the 99 Ranch plaza.

The Lakewood store, located next to Tuesday Morning, is bright & inviting, with clean displays of the various knick knacks & food items from across the Pacific. Everything is organized & easy to grab. The cashiers & employees were friendly & efficient.

My eyes spied, on this visit, a nifty collapsible hat, arm sun covers & a cool curved honey spoon, among other "why didn't I think of that?" products. Chair socks? Brilliant!

Items are mostly $1.50, unless designated with another price. I had the Green Tea Pastry Roll and enjoyed it. It reminded me of brioche/Filipino mamon. Didn't hurt the wallet, either. Like all Daisos, all sales final.

I highly recommend Daiso Japan Lakewood. Open, easy to maneuver layout, ample parking & hospitable employees will have me coming back for more. I love this store! It's like a shopping adventure. I never know what I'm going to find. Brightly lit and very neat. Their stationery aisle is like a dream for us paper and pen junkies. Everything is well organized and the aisles are wide enough for browsing. Next to the stationery aisle, my other favorite is the cosmetic aisle featuring all sorts of skin care goodies from the Land of the Rising Sun. They also have Pocky and Calpico fruit drinks. Yummy! This is hands down the BEST DAISO I've ever been to. And I've been to a lot. Each DAISO differs slightly on what they have stocked. This one had everything! Love love love! And the girl who checked me out at the register was super friendly and nice. I bought a silicon mold to make cheesecake in my instant pot. Plus super cute stickers and stationary and also adorable pens with polar bears that write extremely well. And also a ton of different Japanese snacks. Definitely will be...
