Jeffco Stadium — Attraction in Lakewood

Yesterday morning I went to the stadium for covid test. Testing is scheduled to begin at 8 and I didn't arrive until 7:40 and the line was quite long. Before 8, the line was not managed. So, cars were lining up on the left side of the road seeking that cars could exit on there on the right. After 8 when the staff were activated, we were slowly asked to move to the right or the center to create an exit Lane. Not really a big deal. It was an easy fix and the staff is very pleasant about it. The test for being offered for free and I consider this a great community service. My only criticism is that there is a limit of 120 test given, which is fine, but I wish that they would have set up more than one station for testing. There was plenty of room to do this and two or more stations would have that's the testing time down dramatically. Personally, I was there for two and a half hours. Again, the staff is very present and I am appreciative of this...

Thought this stadium was very nice, a lot of room for seating, nice display board for the score and jumbotron features, abundant parking, and the concessions stand had so many good options (they even sell cup of noodles soup). The stadium was clean and seemed to be in really good order. Disappointed it's so far from the school but convenient that you can just jump on to 6th Ave right next to it. Would recommend if it's cold out to bring in a blanket to sit and wrap up in since the concrete seats can be cold to sit on! Also, you're allowed to bring in food and drinks and no bag restrictions like a pro game....

The facility is old. Fan zone and press box are okay, but when it comes to the athletes, the facilities haven't noticeably been renovated since the late 60's/early 70's. Don't believe me? Just ask some of the local coaches who were athletes in those days. They'll tell you first hand. The state track meet is held annually here, but according to the rumor mill, not for long. Hopefully big changes happen because if not, the central location of Jeffco Stadium will lose out in favor of the rumored southern complex scheduled to begin construction...
