O'Kane Park — Attraction in Lakewood

It's a very nice and clean park. I use to come here and play tennis with my ex, came for a few bbqs, use to go jogging around the park, had my family throw me a huge surprise birthday party, threw a birthday bbq/party for myself on another occasion I had two pinatas filled with plastic shooters, use to play tackle football every weekend with a group of guys from all over. The public restrooms are always well kept with very little vandalism and graffiti along with a very big and nice play ground that is usually full of kids having the time of their lives.. Local favorite of the neighbors! This park has a nice size playground with newer equipment. Covered party area. Basketball and tennis courts. Duck pond. Walking trail. Field for football/futball or other large grass area activities. Lots of tree cover around the edges and off street as well as residential parking. A few nice garden areas and art statues. Beer is allowed but I think they ask for no glass containers for safety reasons. Not sure if the bathrooms are open year round but it is close to Walmart and other shops if it can’t wait. This is my childhood park. Please respect it if you come to visit. It has large grassy areas to play sports in or run with a kite. It has a sidewalk loop that is great for walking /jogging. People walk their dogs, have family gatherings, bring their kids to play at the playground. People even just come to sit and be in peace. It does get super crowded on the weekends however.
