TropiTai Delights — Restaurant in Lakewood

A cute spot to sit back, cool down, and enjoy some Taiwanese-inspired dessert. Parking is plentiful, being in a shared strip mall, and feel free to come with friends, or just your little ole self. Inside, the store is tidy and clean, with Chinese decorations clustered near the checkout counter itself in sort of a controlled chaos. It feels a little empty now, and hopefully they'll start putting up more decor on the walls and the sitting area near the windows.

If you've always found it hard to decide on which milk tea flavor you're feeling that day, TropiTai throws in a whole new angle with their shaved ice. It's nothing like the crunchy, gritty American snow cones - the super fine threads of ice are completely evenly mixed with whatever flavor you choose. The staff are sweet though, answering all questions and providing recommendations if you feel stuck. They'll bring your order to you as long as it's not too busy, and take care to wipe everything down when customers leave.

The Mango Guava flavor was perfectly refreshing with Mochi and Lychee Jelly. Sizes are also quite generous, even though it seemed like our treat was gone in no time.

The milktea itself was just okay. We tried a Lavender Green Tea with boba, and even with 25% sugar, it was sweeter than the shaved ice and less pleasant to drink. More like a sweeter earl grey than a fresh,...

I had never heard of this place, and glad the Yelp Elite Experience made me aware of it, and NOW it is on my radar. I plan on stopping by here anytime I am in the area. GREAT experience. So, we got lucky and walked in with no one there. It got packed as we ate our dessert. Cool restaurant area, nice relaxing TV area, and the folks behind the counter were receptive and welcoming. They have a whole other two sections of the menu, but we focused on the dessert/shaved ice side of things. You basically pick a flavor and then design the rest of it. Fun. Wife got a strawberry with her adds, and I got the Wintermelon with chocolate pocky, strawberry syrup, and mango popping pearls. First of all, I enjoyed it immensely. No complaints. Second, I already know exactly what I am getting next time (always a good sign). I am going to do a different flavor, the condensed milk on top, and Oreo crumbs. Third, the mango popping pearls were magical. I was calculating the number in each bite so I had enough for the end bite. Fourth, the servings were BIG. We got smalls, and we were full when we left. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this place—it’s easily become one of my favorite local spots! From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted with a clean, welcoming atmosphere and super friendly staff who genuinely care about making your experience great. The drinks are amazing. Perfectly brewed teas, just the right sweetness, and the boba pearls are always fresh and chewy—not too hard, not too soft. And then there's the shaved ice which is amazing. Light, creamy, and full of flavor without being overly sweet. It melts in your mouth like snow, but with all the richness of real ice cream. Toppings are generous and high-quality, with fresh fruit, mochi, and boba to mix and match. Prices are super reasonable for the quality, and portion sizes are generous. Highly recommend for anyone who loves boba, is curious about shaved ice cream, or just wants to support a fantastic local business. I’ll definitely be back again...
