This is sauce and not barbecue. Hank Hill would be proud because you can taste the meat and not the heat. Unfortunately the food was cooked negating the basics of smoking meat. If you don't like smoked foods or never actually had it made right, this will seem good. The most smokiness came from some char on the ribs, but it wasn't flavorful like if something was properly smoked with hickory, applewood, or any mixture. Whatever happened with that brisket was a disgrace. It was grey, tasted like it was cooked on a propane grill, and had little squirts of BBQ sauce on top. I should have taken a picture, but some memories you just want to go away.
The BBQ sauce is okay, the spices they flavor the meat with is weak from my experiences, but I've had a lot of good BBQ and made a lot of good BBQ. If it was smoked at a lower temperature for a longer time instead of grilled, it would probably be okay.
The Mac and Cheese is utterly disappointing. Velveeta would be a step up and I don't even like that. It tasted like they added American cheese to it. The best thing we had from our order was the fries. Those were solid. The cornbread was okay, I think it would be too sweet for some people though.
Ultimately these are the flavors of cost cutting. Even more so than famous Dave's. Perhaps I just came in on a bad day, but if that is the case, they shouldn't have been serving it. Sometimes you should cut...
Read moreWe went here for rib night which is every Thursday. It was 1.74 per pork rib. We also ordered a quart of potatoes and a quart of macn cheese. It was 4 bucks for 2 Coors lite drafts. The bill came to 60 some dollars. Now I think that's expense for what we got. The ribs are great. The mashed taters are good. The macn cheese was ok. The gravy for the mashed taters was horrible. Like u didn't even want to eat it. It tasted like it was out of a pocket or a jar. Now since it's a meat place I would think they would have drippings to make bomb gravy but no it was not good. The place is clean and although there us no wait staff, you order at the counter, a person did come up and ask if everything was ok. This was nice. And the man at the counter brought us spoons and a sack without us having to go ask that was nice too. he probably heard my dad saying we needed these things cause my dad's voice is rather loud. If u want good ribs I do suggest this place but I'd get sides elsewhere. I think it might of been cheaper to get the platter that is 15 ribs and two sides but I'm not sure. I would like to day it was nice and warm in the place too. I hate going in places...
Read moreIf you're looking for good barbecue at a decent price this is not the company or location to visit!!! Extremely disappointing I spent almost $60 for a meal for 2 that was supposed to be half pound brisket and half pound chicken With 2 small sides. what I got was definitely far from brisket and was dry and fell apart like an shredded old roast not what I paid for. The mashed potatoes we received were basicalky an ice cream scoops worth in tiny bowl. When a customer spends that much money on that little of food it should definitely be accurately right when you advertise brisket is shouldn't an old roast. I made sure to make it clear when I wanted and I don't understand how brisket sounds anything like brisket. As this was our first time ever trying brothers barbecue we will definitely not be back and we'll let everybody we know not to waste their time money in your company or product after this. Thank you for cheating me out of my money and letting me know to never try your...
