We ordered a custom sofa from them last summer. Initially, the communication went well enough and we were sent leather samples to choose from. We placed an order for a chesterfield. We were told it would take about 6 weeks for the sofa to be completed. It arrived about 12 weeks later, which we figured was due to covid manufacturing and shipping challenges. No big deal. That’s when the problems started. We realized the sofa was a few inches shorter than specified. We reached out and the response we got was that it was within their tolerances for size variation. Less than two months into owning our loveseat, the first button popped off. We reached out four times via email and didn’t get a response. We received an upholstery button repair kit in the mail with no correspondence. I didn’t order a custom sofa so I could pick up a new hobby. Shortly after this, I started noticing that one half of the leather seat cushion started becoming discolored. I’ve worked with leather in the past and realize that leather is a natural material and hides can vary. After some back and forth emails, I speak with the owner on the phone. We share some common interests and it was a pleasant conversation. He says he’ll have the factory make a replacement cushion, I just need to send him a leather swatch from the couch. I sent it the next day. Note: at this point, I have reattached three buttons myself. This exchange was on March 1st of this year. I reached out again in July for an update and got a ā€œI will check the status and get back to uā€. It is now October and I haven’t heard a word from Anthony. I’ve reattached five buttons at this point. I’m now out a few thousand bucks on a sofa I don’t like. I absolutely do not recommend working with these people.

It doesnt get better than this for custom furniture and service I had the pleasure to work with Marybeth and her husband when purchasing new custom sofas for my newly renovated apartment in NYC. I decided to rent a car and drive to Iron & Oak in NJ and it was well worth the trip (she even let me bring my dogs along for the road trip). I spent the afternoon with Marybeth and her husband creating my sofas by choosing fabrics, studs and finishes. I absolutely love their approach to their business which is all about quality craftmanship and customer service to the highest degree. Unlike other furniture stores that mark their furniture up 3X and then discount it during sales, Iron and Oak provides a reasonable price point from the beginning. Likewise, the furniture is all handmade in their factory in NC. I had high expectations and excitement after I ordered my sofas but was blown away once the sofas were delivered. WOW exceptional quality I could never ever have purchased this off the shelf from a furniture store. If you want the highest quality product, at reasonable prices delivered by the finest people (Marybeth and her husband) look no further than Iron & Oak. I was SO SATISFIED with my sofas that Marybeth and I are now working on my kitchen counter stools. Thanks a million for the service… it doesn’t get better than this!!!

After a disastrous order process with a UK-based company who kept promising that our chairs were completed and were being shipped but never did, we were so lucky that we found Of Iron & Oak online. From beginning to end, the service was courteous and prompt. We ordered two Prince Ruby velvet Hepburn chairs, and they were absolutely stunning when they came in. And they came in well ahead of schedule, delivered and under 3 months to Texas! They are seriously the nicest piece of furniture in our home, and everybody comments on them when they walk in. Wouldn't be possible for me to be happier with this purchase. Thank you!

This 1 star review should have been posted a long time ago. I received the wrong colored couch and I am very unhappy still. This has been one of the more traumatic experiences I have ever had purchasing anything from a company online. Read below.

From the very beginning something was wrong. Anthony ignored my calls. Right then and there, I should have went with my gut and stopped the transaction. But instead, I soldiered on for whatever dumb reason, trying to support a ā€œUSAā€ business.

At times, when I spoke with him, it wasn’t pleasant for me. He could be patronizing, condescending, dismissive and phony. He wasn’t professional and wasn’t interested in details and definitely not interested in listening to my questions. No pictures and no samples of the color of the couch I was buying were ever sent to me or even offered during the whole process. Just his ā€˜word’ that he knew what I wanted. Period. So I just stupidly assumed he knew what he was talking about and making notations of my requests. Nope! Turns out, this individual had no recollection of our previous conversations at all! A total nightmare! To summarize, the color of the couch was wrong and way off from my request. In the end, they were not willing to rectify the situation that they themselves were at fault for. So, I would definitely suggest looking into other ā€œoptionsā€ that consider returns, not these guys. Just don’t make the same mistake I made, otherwise you’ll get stuck with a couch that...
