If you wanted to get profiled for being Latino/a then this is the place to come! My mother was falsely accused of “changing prices” on clothing items. My mother was thrifting and was there for 3 hours looking for outfits. If you thrift you know it takes time. Once my mother was ready to check out she went to the self check out and started scanning her items when the last time was a jacket that the price tag had came off of so my mom had put the price in the jackets pocket. The “manager” saw my mom scan the jacket and came up to her and said that’s not the price your changing prices. Keep in mind she didn’t even bother to look at the price first before assuming. My mom had told her that the price had fallen and this was the price she had found it for. She then had the nerve to call my mom a lair and accuse her of switching the tags. My mom kept on explaining to her that that’s not what she did . She then snatched all the clothes away from my mother the ones she had already scanned and started ripping the tags off of each one. She then didn’t allow my mother to purchase her items and told her to leave. My mother left with no issue but was extremely upset and embarrassed in-front of people only because she wanted to falsely accuse her. We then came back the next day to find the items she had took away from us for no reason. We found the items and shocking they all had THE SAME PRICE TAGS SHE RIPPED OFF!!! If those weren’t the prices then why were they put back on? My mother grabbed the items and as we kept shopping the unprofessional manager came up to my mother and told her she’s not welcomed in the store, she then called the cops on us for shopping… We paid to mind to her as our main mission was to find the items and checkout. As we got to the register my mother was about to scan her items when she then came and pushed my mother and got infront of the register. I had to then purchase the items for my mother and she kept making disgusting comments to us. We have been thrifting here for 5+ years and have never experienced a problem. This lady is unprofessional and accuses people of things they didn’t do. Employees even came up to us to apologize for what she was doing to us because even they knew she was extremely rude. Bystanders were also making comments on how she has given them issues as well when they came to shop and not so shocking everyone was Hispanic !! This was one of the worst experience I’ve had and am shocked with the type of people they have hired to represent their business! BEWARE OF THIS...

Hi i am personal shopper. On December 21 2016. I was shopping in the value vallage on 2277 University bivd in marland. I try to use the mirror a customer started yelling at me. I told her its the holiday lets be happy and please stop shouting at me. She threaten me. I walk away. I saw rthe male rican manger and told him. Please get another mirror and some crazy crackhead just yell at me. He said use another mirror. i walk away. 5 minutes laterthe manager came to me and said i have to talk to u please come with me. I folliow him. We went to the front door. He call the ploice on me. He told them i shop every day and he dont want me back. I ask why. He said its personal. Right then the lady who was screaming at me started saying we just had a understanding and we apologized to each other she said why did he call the police. He told the police to band me from the store. They said lets go mam. I said can i purchase to exchange or my item's he said no . The police was very rude and they really made me fell like a criminal. Really horrible experience here today. I come to this store very often. Probably more often that necessary but I digress. I dropped off two rather large boxes and decided to go in to look. Im attempting to zip a jacket I was trying on and the “store manager/ owner” comes and asks me to take it off. I was sort of shocked and asked why. He told me that he saw me try on multiple jackets and go outside and come back for others. I was in complete shock. I tried to explain nicely that I recently came in and haven’t left the store. He claimed I was lying and wanted nothing to do with my story as he called it. I proceeded to make him feel just as small as he made me feel. I don’t regret it and he certainly deserve it. What bothers me the most is he is the same color as I am. None the less I will never shop here again and will continue to...
