University Gardens — Local services in Langley Park

Edit: I have now been living here at University Gardens for almost 4 years, and I cannot recommend this place enough. I have had nothing but a great living experience here. Its a super family-oriented community, all of my neighbors are kind and respectful, and the office has quickly resolved any issues that have ever come up. They have security on site which makes the place feel safe at night and the price of the rent is really affordable compared to similar communities ive been to. Just wanted to say thanks to the maintenance staff and leasing office for all being super friendly and professional!

Original Review: My leasing agent was Oscar, and he made the process of renting super easy! He was helpful, responsive, and answered all of my questions and concerns with honest answers. My wife and I recently moved here from New Jersey, in the beginning of July. Our leasing agent was Frank, and I occasionally talked with Oscar whenever Frank was unavailable; they are absolutely wonderful, they were very patient with us and very helpful during our move-in process, even when we kept having issues. Now, this review is only three stars because of what I'm about to say next: PEST ISSUES. We've called maintenance about twice already, both for roaches. We've just got here, so we haven't had time to create enough trash for me to wonder if we brought them here--and now we have a mouse/rat! I don't know how much more we can clean or how many more times we can call the maintenance team to do their "thing", but this seems to be an ongoing issue, and it's not a good look. Overall, I'm still a fairly satisfied tenant, just...the pest control seems...

I only gave it one star because if not i wouldn't be able to post this review.I do NOT recommend these apartments/company to anyone. The staff at the leasing office is terrible, they have bed bugs and do Not provide any type of treatment to get rid of bed bugs. I had to throw my bed and other things out twice. and lets not talk about parking. I tried to add someone on my lease so that I could get a parking sticker because the leasing office informed me that would be the only way how. Which they gave me the run around and never happened. When we decided to move due to all the issues we were having they inspected the apartment and never informed us of a charge now 2 months later they sent us to collections without any notice. BAD Customer Service. They just want their money and don't care about...
