The Craft Bar — Attraction in Lansing

Me and my boyfriend came here for his birthday, we love going out and sniffing our way through wax melts so we thought creating our own scent would be super fun and it was! The staff, Robert, was super helpful and welcoming, explaining everything as we went and always ready to clarify when we had questions. They have a whole wall of scents to look through to create your own unique scent and then you get to pick out a jar for your candle, you get to decorate your jar with stickers from a huge box too which was a delightful surprise! Making the candles themselves was fun too, it was laid out very simply so it’s easy to understand and do! They even offered to take our picture with the candles to commemorate the event! Then it was just a matter of waiting for the candles to harden, which takes two hours, and coming back later to get them. They came all safely wrapped up in tissue paper and in cute little bags with a care card that had a nice handwritten thank you on the back. I didn’t know this existed until today when a friend invited me on their maiden voyage as well (celebrating a birthday). It was an opportunity to make professional grade candles with an education into scent selection and learning how to use the devices in the industry. Robert and Maddie were fantastic guides and hosts. They even decorated with a happy birthday sign! They catered to our questions and were so personable the candle making became a secondary luxury eclipsed by their generosity and kindness. Prices were completely reasonable for what you receive: nice glass jar, candle (obvs), and the experience. Lovely experience crafting candles here with my friends. My friend took us here raving about the candle scents and when we went inside, all we were expecting was to buy some candles but instead we got to craft them ourselves! Such a unique and fun experience at an affordable price as well. The owner, Maddie was very inviting and happy to show us around and offer the candle crafting experience to us. Her passion spread to us and we were happy to take her up on her offer. She explained the whole process so well and was there to help whenever we needed.
