I HATE rating places lowly. But behavior towards the customers are incredibly important.
A day visiting Old Town Lansing and my dad. Saw this little local shop and noticed it had soaps and lotions. I loved the peppermint and lavander lotion, then I saw their apron and thought it was the coolest thing. I complimented it, raised my head up to smile at the staff. All 3 women behind the counter were staring and never broke a smile. My behavior was good, I didn't have anything on my face, I was dressed relaxed for a hot day as any 27 year old woman would, the new bohemian looks that are in style (quite relaxing and cute), clothes are in good shape, a nice hat to shade the sun, I don't smell, took a shower, wearing deodorant... So what was their deal? Idk but their behavior and lack of smiles really made me think twice about giving my business. I usually try and look over small things because we aren't perfect and I've worked customer service for a long time, so I understand. I am big about shopping local as much as possible, but I did not appreciate them staring at me like a clique of snobby girls in middle school.
