Computer Frog — Attraction in Lapeer

Literally STOLE our computer. We dropped it off for a repair, and were repeatedly told we should just buy another laptop from them instead of having ours fixed. They said they'd call when they found out more information about our computer problem. Never called. We made numerous calls to them and were given the run around each time on how the specific person who was working on it wasn't in or available. Months had gone by with no returned phone calls. SEVERAL months later, we began to call again, only to be confronted with the same issue. One employee even told us we hadn't dropped our computer off there! Month go by again, no returned calls. FINALLY we call again, and an employee says our computer is in their storage unit because they couldn't reach us! (Though we had called many times) and that they would track it down and give us a call. THAT WAS OVER 6 MONTHS AGO. NO returned calls! No one knows where my computer is. Half the time they say it was never dropped off, it's in storage, or the "right guy" isn't there..We dropped this computer off OVER 1.5 years ago and never had it returned to us. I had to buy another computer. The computer we took to get fixed was never found. The issue was never resolved. I could have taken it anywhere else and atleast had my files and recovered of my deceased mother. Those were the only photos I had of her and I'll never get them back. I am beyond dissapointed. If I could give 0 stars I would. I've read other reviews on facebook about them also stealing other customers computers. I should have listened to the community. I'm out of my Dell all in one computer, and photos I can never get back. After this long I'm not even sure if I'm able to file a civil lawsuit against them, but I'm making my first attempt to do so today. Terrible place. Don't trust them. Don't leave your valuables with them. I'm sure 99% get their computer back, but there's also that slim chance that you'll never see your computer again like us and you will be SOL with no resolution or sympathy from the Computer Frog. They'll say you never dropped it off. They won't...

Like another review said, I would give this place 0 stars if I could. Probably their biggest issue is their promises to "call back" even though they have no intention to. I won't bore you with the details- but over the course of one month, I had MULTIPLE issues with the computer I took here. I brought it in with one simple problem, but I ended up with 3 more additional problems and COUNTLESS trips back and forth to get these issues resolved. Parts were switched and I was told they were brand new, although they looked nothing like the parts on the computer beforehand. Throughout the process of getting all of these issues resolved, I called NUMEROUS times and they always assured THEY would call ME back, yet I never received one call. Their lack of communication is horrible and the length of time to make repairs is unacceptable- this may have to do with the fact that when I went to pick up my computer he was playing a video game. Not to mention- the place is disgusting. There were at least 100 computers scattered and stacked across the place, and I don't think it has ever been cleaned. They definitely need a new slogan- as Fast, Reliable, On-time, Guaranteed, would NOT describe this business. I will never be going back and wish I would've done my research before going here, hope I can save someone...

Hate to be so rude because its a local business... Friendly staff, but twice I've brought my electronics in and twice I've been dissatisfied. Brought a PC in and it took 3 months before they told me they can't figure out whats wrong. And thats after calling them every week. Second time, I took a laptop in and asked.for a quote, after playing phone tag and being told "the technician working on your laptop is with a customer, he'll call you back in 5 minutes". He never called, I ended up calling a week later. A month went by and they finally had an estimate, I figured it wasnt worth it. Took the laptop back, thankfully no charge cuz I would have been upset. Get home, plus the laptop in, and now with keyboard and trackpad aren't working. They literally broke my laptop even more.
