Gallery 194 — Attraction in Lapeer

This is a hidden gem. It is staffed by members of the Lapeer Art Association who volunteer their time. They have shows for guest artists as well as the association members. There is also a gift shop with local art work for sale. I especially like the jewelry and the note cards. I just took a pottery class there. They do offer an assortment of art related classes. Took a Bob Ross painting class and it was not a pleasant experience. Joann who was teaching the class was absolutely horrible. She didn’t introduce herself, did not explain what tools or paint we were using. Seating fills quick if you like a certain location. Bought ours the day of and had to sit fairly close on side isle. The staff was very pleasant and helpful. Did not purchase anything at concession. We always get to places early so time doesn't really count. Fairly noisy at beginning and intermission which bothers hearing aids and sensitive ears. I would try again if I...
