My family was here for their Easter event. There’s some things I think need to be mentioned in hopes D K Farms will consider improving on.

They charged $15 for the kids Easter Egg hunt..ok that’s fine HOWEVER they have it set up so you can pay for that online and you receive an email with a scan code for entry.. then WHY is their entry process so inefficient? They ask for your name and proceed to look it up, then they charged $10 per adult AT the door! This slows things down. To me it makes much more sense to provide the option to pay for EVERYONE’s entry fees AHEAD of time and JUST USE THE SCAN CODE the guests receive as proof of purchase. Again not efficient and leads to lines that aren’t necessary.

WHY are they charging $10/ adult to just get in especially when once you’re inside they charge you for EVERYTHING else your family wants to experience while there. Also, this year where they had the 4-6 year old egg hunt there was no space for the adults to watch, take video or photos of their kids during the egg hunt. We were all bunched up in a very small space. So again I don’t understand why they charged $10 per adult for this Easter Egg hunt experience and this was the situation/service they provided.

The location on their property that the 4-6 year olds had their Easter Egg hunt at was definitely HAZARDOUS!! I could not believe they were operating the egg hunt in an area that has a DITCH!! For ANYONE to be walking around let alone CHILDREN ages 4-6 running around racing to find Easter eggs! This ditch area wasn’t even roped off either! Not that I think that would be helpful to avoid anyone falling into it and getting hurt, but it would have been at least a small tiny deterrent. Again, this is not meant to just be complaining. I legit think this was very unsafe and I would highly recommend DK Farms to NOT repeat this location for any activity near this ditch in the future.

This is another recommendation that whoever they hire/use to be dressed up as the Easter Bunny that they explain the importance of that role on this occasion. There are little kids all around the property and our little daughter heard the Easter Bunny conversing with another employee just walking and talking like they weren’t in costume as the very important character all these little kids want to see ( my husband and I assumed they’re probably hot & were headed to take a break that’s understandable) however, the conversations the Easter Bunny was having caused us to try and explain why our daughter heard the Easter Bunny talking like that.

So as a family we were very disappointed at DK Farms this year. $35 for this to happen was absolutely not worth it. I hope DK Farms takes this review seriously and considers all the things mentioned and makes...

$17 for entry each guest above 30'

We bought wristbands for our 3 kids as we didn't want to have to come back up to pay for extra things.

Pony ride: We weren't told until we got in the back, but the pony ride was for kids under 45 lbs. My youngest got to go, but my older 2 boys, 6&8 years old, didn't. The staff member said the bigger one wasn't feeling well( totally understand but the staff at the front needs to know this as I wouldn't have bought the wrist band for the older 2 boys had I known this).

Hay ride: It runs maybe 5 minutes there and back. Your view is the canal in the back, that's it. I suggest making room for it to go around the lot to see Most the animals. On the trail, some branches are hanging down, hitting people on the trailer seats. Need to evaluate that and fix any safety concerns before having guests out there again.

Goats + Cow cuddling: No staff supervision. I'm sure after the storm it's difficult. But I got the attention of an employee to help put some goats back as they were hanging out on the holding gates vs. the other side

Bounce houses: I know the storm may have brought water and dirt.. but you HAVE to clean those things out before re opening. They are under trees, so that doesn't help.. but it was unsanitary to let my kids in the bounce houses. They should be cleaned every day by staff

Porta potties: They are within 5 feet of the Gem Mining and Put put golf. I suggest putting them tucked away from kid events. Terrible smell while trying to do those activities that we paid EXTRA $ to do.

Pedal carts: Boys loved that especially the one with the 2nd seat in the back for his little brother who couldn't pedal. Unfortunately my middle got bit up my fire ants during that. Need to spray out in that area

Put out golf: Branches and light strings down hitting your head while your trying to play. Only saw a few with hoke #s so we wwre bouncing all over. Definitely needed a good leaf blower out there to clear the golf too

Bunnyland: No staff in there. I highly suggest at least 1. One bunny was up on the ledge. He was close enough he could have escaped the whole area. I watched my kids either handling of thr bunnys..but some other parents weren't as attentive which I personally feel is a safety thing for the animals

Staff was friendly. The whole place just needs a re vamp of cleaning and organization. I understand we all need to make money after these storms but we also need to ensure safety is met and that the business ready to open. I'm sharing my thoughts and opinion in hopes it helps the owners for...

WEDDING REVIEW - we had our wedding here at DK farms on June 7. We cannot say how much of an overall amazing experience this was. Last year in September 2024 my husband and I visited the farm with my mom and sister with no intentions of booking that day. We were hoping to love it as much as we did, but we had no idea that it would actually happen. We fell in love instantly. Megan Was a joy the minute we walked onto the farm along with the other staff. Megan was always there with every question I had and thought that came to mine. We initially did not think we needed a coordinator & boy oh boy are we happy we did. Danny! My right hand these last 6 months. You are INCREDIBLE. Danny is the coordinator you can hire that works with the farm & ladies/gentleman - do not book this venue without hiring Danny as well. Danny works with the farm and knows the ins and outs like the back of his hand. The best decision we made was hiring Danny because he knows everything about the farm. Even down to Where the sun is at specific times. We had an absolute blast. We did add the mini golf and the bull ride. At first, I was like that is silly to do for a wedding and oh my goodness I cannot tell you how much they were both a hit. Weddings can be kind of boring when all there is to do is dance if dancing isn’t your thing. It’s been three weeks and our family is still buzzing about how much fun they had. The only opportunity I see for the farm is may be having a portal for the bride and groom to work with the farm so that way it’s easier to track payments and special request etc. Outside of that, I cannot rave more about this place - also if you are from our of town - the Home 2 suites is 3 minutes away by car & a great place to stay. Thank...
