Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings — Restaurant in Largo

Am a regular come at least 3 times a week. Good wings, fries, Texas toast, IDK about the cheesesteaks? Workers are nice with decent customer service, might miss an item here and there like any other fast food place. Clean and quiet inside. Only issue ordering online sometimes don't work so tells you to call order but when tried was told they don't take orders over the phone!?! Although they have a sign outside saying call now for free delivery call-in orders only!?! False advertising I guess, even on their website looking at their Texas toast shows it having sesame seeds, well they sure don't have any sesame seed Texas toast at least here anyways haven't been to other Charley's. Overall good place just seems like have some advertising and corporate marketing issues...

UPDATE Was told by manager sesame seed toast is being taken care of since they don't have sesame seed toast at any Charley's not only theirs which said isn't their fault it's a corporate thing, which isn't a big deal to me personally but some people complain about it when seeing advertised as it is then they get it it's totally different or not as advertised. Then may have been my fault or just miscommunication between us when I called to try ordering for delivery I didn't specify needed it delivered just said hi I'm calling to make an order... LOL, but I stand by Charley's especially this location for their good customer service nice workers always clean and most importantly LOVE the wings!!! Thank you all here at this location I will continue to come 3 times a week for my wings won't go...

As a Philly native, I am picky about my cheesesteaks. Charley’s does a good job, though I do not know why they offer tomatoes or lettuce on a cheesesteak ;) The bread is not Amoroso’s and does not have the semi-hard crust. This is the ONLY reason I did not give 5 stars.

I have ate inside Charley’s about 15 times this year, so far. The dining area and bathrooms are always clean. The kitchen is open and the food prep can be watched. The kitchen is clean; much cleaner than a true Philly cheesesteak restaurant ;).

The management staff has remained the same, which is a testament in and of itself. And all staff I interacted with were friendly, clean, and professional.

I like “traditional” bone-in wings and Charley’s does not disappoint, in addition, there’s a decent selection of sauces from sweet to super-hot. I prefer mild to medium so I have not tried their “ angry ghost pepper,” but I know people who have and they were too hot for them. So, if hot is your thing, give “angry ghost pepper” a shot and let those of us on this comment thread know whether you could eat them all ;)

The food is prepared quickly (less than 5 minutes). There’s one of those near-infinite flavor Coke machines easily accessible and the refills are free. ( will probably come in handy if you try the aforementioned “angry ghost pepper”.

The French fries are the thicker style, not quite stark fry size, but larger than fast food style. The grease the fries are cooked in must be changed frequently as I have never had anything but nice light golden colored...

First time I ate here. I love Philly's. Passed this and thought, why not? Pulled in and ordered a philly cheese steak w/o the bun. Hmm talk about confusing them. It's like make it the way you do. Jjust put it in the wrap paper, or bowl. I just don't want the bread. After what felt like a 15 minute discussion I finally got it. It was excellent, but the frustration of the ordeal took away from the experience. Wished people realized that some people travel and therefore stay in motels and can't make their own food...OR WE WOULD! Everything doesn't have to be so complicated. Just shhh, listen and act accordingly. Everything said doesn't need a response, unless you honestly don't understand. No bun! How difficult is that? Anyway it was delish w/o the bread. Just be prepared, if order it that way. Delish!! I rarely give give stars as there is always room for improvement. I would've gave four stars if I hadn't had to debate for what seemed like a lifetime over the no bun. That's why the three. Food 4 incompetence 5 time 2. I'll give a three (avg) because in the end I got what I wanted and...
