This large, well kept City of Las Vegas park with a new crumb rubber track surrounding 4 baseball/softball fields, two dog parks, several BBQ areas with picnic tables, restroom facilities on each end and a soccer field make this beautiful place on Gowan Road a destination for family fun. Tennis courts and a large pavilion for parties are located on the west (or Rainbow Blvd) end while a basketball court, awesome horseshoe pits and two bocce ball courts are located on the east (or Torrey Pines Drive) end. All these facilities are clean and well maintained. We walk there every morning and have very rarely encountered rowdy or seedy characters. One of our favorite places...
Read moreI change my review. A man brought his dog in. The dog was freaking out on the leash like a two-year old on crack . So he decides the best thing to do his let it loose, of course. It attacks my dog. He is fine now. The last time I was here I told the lady my dog doesn't like toddlers. She is a great dog , and loves everyone, and everything, just not babies and toddlers... the woman brings her two-year old in and let's her run straight at my dog, then freaks when my dog growls and snaps at it. Read moreI am so amazed at how clean and well attended the parks, streets, and highways are in Las Vegas. Yes, if you are on the casino walks, you will find some trash- but they are quick to clean it up! Some of our other states should take notes on LV way of taking care of their town. But the parks- all of them I have been to - have decent restrooms and have tissue and paper towels. The playground equipment is in good shape and plenty of material under the swings, bars etc. Most of them have an additional exercise section of some sort. Hope this helps!
