I purchased a barbecue grill today and I try to fit it in my daughters friends SUV. It was very hard to get in and it wouldn’t go in. Luckily, a lady by the name of Stephanie a cashier I believe offered to help me by setting up a delivery, she was awesome. She was great very friendly. She was the best. Tyler was great too. He helped me as well. I appreciate the help so much. She was very professional and I couldn’t ask for more. The only bad part of my experience was when I was looking at the grills a white man without any Home Depot gear or name tag came out and said, what are you doing? what are you looking at? What are you looking for? Obviously after I kept asking I want to know the price of one that’s when he decide or will let me go get somebody that works here. Yeah go get somebody that works there because obviously you are loss prevention and it’s well known the whole situation, which is very very creepy and unprofessional As far as I know he could’ve been a serial killer who knows the way he approached me I felt very uncomfortable and nervous. I felt like he was gonna kidnap me, or or do something to me the way he approached me he didn’t greet me didn’t say hello he didn’t ask and I help you with something he was very rude and creepy. I asked him do you work here he said yes I do I said you do where is your ID? He said oh I didn’t bring it in today. I knew he was loss prevention but you should not come to a customer interact with a customer like that automatically he thought I was gonna steal a grill and I know he did and I felt very very discriminated . Maybe it’s because I’m not Caucasian I don’t know but that’s how I feel. I’m Asian and my daughter’s best friend is black, so so everyone else in the whole world if this white man approaches you that’s a loss prevention obviously please complain because he’s very unprofessional and very disrespectful and obviously racist And I hope corporate sees this as well. I will never shop in the store again because of him, but because of Stephanie and Tyler, I might think about it. Stephanie and Tyler have a wonderful, wonderful holiday and God bless you guys and thank you so much for your help. You guys are great awesome professional courteous I really appreciate it. And I will end up finding out what that creepers name is because I am very very upset. His whole demeanor was just screwed up and it...
Read moreI’ve been going to Home Depot for many years. I’m a particular fan of their Behr brand paint. I am new to this immediate area, so this Lawnside location is new to me. I have to say, the employees I encountered were EXCELLENT. Janai (sp?) in the paint department was amazing. She was very friendly, approachable, pleasant, professional, and, most importantly, KNOWLEDGABLE! It was a pleasure to work with her to select my paints and she made great recommendations as far as the right type and color of primer for my door, etc. I have a good basic knowledge of painting and some experience, but it was very helpful to have her explain options, the differences, what works best where, etc.
At one point while Janai was mixing my paint (there was another very friendly and helpful young man working with her whose name I did not get), I went to look at window shutters. I was having trouble finding them so I asked a gentleman working in building materials. He pointed me back in the right direction, gave me the aisle number and told me where exactly I’d find them. He could not have been more professional or seem happier to help me. I headed down towards the shutters which was quite a ways down, as I had walked right past them before. When I went to turn down the aisle, I heard him call from just behind me to remind me EXACTLY where they were. He went out of his way and just provided excellent customer service. I wish I had gotten his name because I love to give great employees recognition and gratitude. He appeared to be a light skin black man (sorry for the poor description) guessing maybe mid-50s to mid-60s and he wore glasses if I remember correctly. He was working in the lumber wood area and basically walked with me to the shutters. I would love for management to recognize this gentleman and Janai for being great to...
Read moreI have been a customer of this Home Depot since they opened and over the past few months the customer service has been horrible. Today I waited in line at customer service for 21 1/2 minutes while the CS rep worked with one single customer. I overheard the CS rep tell that customer that “ the store manager has been cutting back on everyone’s hours except the self check people”. Last week I needed help in Electrical dept. There was no one in Electrical so they paged the person assigned. Fifteen minutes later the woman assigned to Electrical shows up with a “very bad attitude” and proceeded to tell me they don’t have what I need. Then she quickly went back to her break. A customer overheard her reply and after she left he proceeded to show me where I could find the product. His comment was “I wonder how many other customers she told a similar thing while the products are on the shelf”. Four weeks ago I went to this store to order custom blinds. Here again, no one in that department so we went to CS and paged the person responsible. After 15 minutes went to CS and sent out a second page. Then a person from a different department tried to help us but it soon became apparent that they were unable. We then went to Lowe’s down the street and ordered $1,150.00 of blinds and worked with a very friendly, knowledgeable person. I’ve been a loyal customer but this store is forcing me to shop...
