SEPHORA — Attraction in Lawrence Township

I came here a few days before Christmas to buy some lipstick and left IN TEARS. For background, I know nothing about makeup and had no idea what I was doing. I asked one of the sales associates for help and she spent the next 20 minutes finding me the right colors, styles, and texture in an affordable brand. She picked out an everyday lipgloss and a fun purple lipstick I could wear on nights out. I checked out at the register and felt great. On my way out, I saw her and was feeling the Christmas spirit. I really wanted to tip her but she absolutely REFUSED. Instead, she pulled out a black bag and handed it to me. Inside, were 2 tester lip products, one of which was the one I decided not to buy cause I couldn't afford it. Call me sensitive, call me emotional (I am both those things), but I was so touched by her effort to help me, I cried. I am writing to express my appreciation for the outstanding service provided by Lovely During my recent visit to this location , I am super impressed by her exceptional level of professionalism and expertise. After having bad experience at another Sephora store where I was sold the wrong products and shades, lovely went above and beyond to ensure that I left the store with the perfect products tailored to my needs. She took the time to listen to my concerns, understand my preferences, and skilfully guided me through the selection process, ultimately helping me find the correct shades that goes well with my skin tone flawlessly. Her patience, attention to detail, and genuine desire to help is outstanding. I was to lucky to have her after one of the other beauty advisor ghosted me and make me wait at a specific section for a while but overall I would recommend this location and highly recommend Lovely as your beauty advisor, the lady at checkout register,I don’t know her name but she was so nice...

I felt bad initially writing this review but when I came to this page, I saw I’m not alone. I’m not one to write bad reviews or be negative towards retail employees but my experience at this location today was awful. I was waiting around, walking around looking for help and was ignored. I knew exactly what I wanted and I knew it was in stock. I understand it’s the holidays BUT most of the employees were standing around chatting with each other. I glanced in the drawer and I saw what I needed so I pulled it out. I had no idea that wasn’t allowed. Out of nowhere, I hear an employee YELLING across the store “YOU CANT GO INTO THE DRAWERS YOU CANT OPEN THEM!!” so horribly embarrassing. Then I get up to the cashier and the cashier next to mine very rudely half snaps at me that they only have one birthday gift option and they aren’t getting anything more in stock.
