STAY AWAY!!! This was one of the worst dining experiences I can ever remember in my life. Our party of four was celebrating my girlfriend's birthday. Apparently the kitchen here has no idea how to properly cook steak hamburger or just about anything else in the kitchen.
I ordered a medium rare porterhouse which was mostly medium rare although when it came to our table it was cold. My son ordered an aged ribeye that was also far below hot when it reached our table. The attached picture shows the hamburger my girlfriend's daughter ordered that was supposed to be cooked medium. As you can see by the completely red meat it was partially cooked on one side of the burger and completely raw on the other side of the burger. On top of the raw meat burger, my girlfriend's birthday entree was a completely well done filet mignon when she ordered hers medium. When we asked the staff to please cook it properly they replaced it with a steak that was seared on the outside edges and completely raw throughout the entire center and cold.
We came here expecting to have a very nice dinner and birthday celebration and were so turned off by the entire experience - it ruined what was supposed to be a nice evening out. Management barely made any effort to correct the problems. Certainly bringing us a completely undercooked second steak did not help out patience with this awful experience. Looking at a completely raw half of the hamburger turned us all off to the entire experience. My girlfriend spent the rest of the evening worrying that her daughter would be sick throughout the night leaving us with a very large bill for a dinner that none of us could enjoy as we sat there waiting to see what management was going to do to make things right. In the end we just got a simple and hollow apology from the manager on duty Christina and the burger and never eaten fillet were removed from our bill. Christina even had the audacity to tell us that "the meat didn't look as undercooked when we took it back to the kitchen where there's brighter lighting". Are you for real???
I cannot more strongly recommend that patrons stay far away from this restaurant. I would love to hear from Phillip the general manager if he has any explanation for why the poor food quality is acceptable at his establishment and why his management staff are so lax about poor quality and...
Read moreVery disappointing. Looks good at first but once you take a seat you can tell something is off. When we came it was a Friday night and there was barely anyone there. Not a good sign. But we proceeded since the reviews supposedly said the food was great. With a barely seated restaurant the waiter decided to put us in the middle of the room, the most awkward seat. So we asked for a different seat since there were a bunch of booths open. When we sat down in our booth it felt very dark and dingy. There were multiple stains on the seats and our hostess’s energy level was at 0. Once our waiter came she didn’t ask us how we were, if we’ve been there before or even what her name was. She just cut to the chase and brought us tap water without even asking what we preferred. However, I will say she was very nice, but I thought she could’ve introduced herself better. We ordered the ribs with spinach, medium lamb chops, a medium filet and a lobster Mac and cheese to share. The ribs were ok but once we got into the other food that’s when problems arrived. The spinach was very sour and had way too much garlic. The lamb and filet were medium in some parts, but some parts were cooked more well done (was not consistently cooked). The lamb chops cost 48 dollars and it was the worst we’ve ever had. 0 flavor. Water chops. Probably the most disappointing part of all was the 15 dollar lobster Mac and cheese. When you order a Mac and cheese you usually expect it to be gooey cheesy and in this case have lots of pieces of lobster. This lobster Mac and cheese looked like it had been sitting in the cabinet all day. In addition to that, there were only 3 pieces of lobster. A complete waste of money! I regret not bringing it to the waiters attention. Our whole meal cost us almost 200 dollars. A waste of our night,...
Read moreWanted to get a steak while in the area and KC seemed to fit the bill. Made a reservation online which was straightforward. Once I arrived, I was seated quickly with hardly any wait.
My server Ariana stopped by shortly after I was seated with a menu and letting me know of the specials for the day. Once I was ready, she took my order and things started to come out at a decent pace. To drink I had a water, for an appetizer I had the Lobster Bisque which was excellent. Had several decent sized pieces of lobster in the bisque and the lobster itself tasted good.
For my entree I went with the Prime Delmonico steak and I ordered with Medium Rare. Once I received my steak and started to cut into it, the seasoning was a little light, but as I worked my way towards the middle of the steak, the seasoning was much more obvious.
The first half of my steak was cooked exactly how I ordered it, however once I got past the half way point I noticed that my steak was a bit harder to cut. This is when I realized that part of my steak was not cooked to how I ordered it, you can see the difference in color based on the photos I provided. Was definitely more on the rarer side.
For a place that is charging around $50 per steak, I would imagine they would be able to grill the steak to order, so was a little surprised to see this happen. Since there wasn't much of the steak left, I wasn't going to go through the effort to have them grill the steak further to match what I requested.
For dessert, I tried an item that was not listed on the dessert menu, the KC Fried Cheesecake. It served its purpose and cleansed my palete.
Overall, this was an okay experience, but I certainly expected more from a...
