Comanche County Fairgrounds — Attraction in Lawton

In a military town that has been sucked dry over the years, you don't always expect to see a community turn out for routine events. I was quite surprised to learn that there is a market here every Wednesday night and Saturday morning. The number of vendors is pretty low, but you can get some farm fresh produce and some nice cuts of meat, honey, and some trinkets as well as baked goods. I only dock a star because the layout is a bit cramped, and the parking is awkward because of the vendor area not exactly being marked off and the actual size of the parking lot. Are 3 year old grandson had a great time. The food prices were extremely expensive. We did not pay for the always pass and that was a good thing. Because our 3 year old grandson could only ride so many rides. What really got them the the three star was after buying our tickets online we had to get our daughter to use her Google Wallet. Farmer's Market ... small but high quality. This was my first time at this farmer's market. It was fairly small compared to larger cities, so maybe this should be 4.5 stars, but the quality of everything was excellent. We bought strawberry rhubarb jam, mango habanero chutney, ground lamb (which we made into delicious lamb burgers later that evening), breakfast burritos, smoothies, coffee, sourdough bread, and some veggies.
