Apparently, their way of "dealing" with an issue is for them to just block you from their Facebook page. Another reason to encourage people who are military retirees and tax exempt from going there. Tax exemption and military discount is NOT a double discount.
To clarify, I would not recommend this place to people who are retired military and tax exempt. First thing, I liked the food. Can't say anything bad about it. But, when it came time to check out, my girlfriend mentioned she was tax exempt. That created a huff, with saying we should have said that first, now she had to find someone to void it out. That's not an issue, but the way it was said was. Then she asked if they do military discount. They said they do, but don't do "double discount" when doing a military and tax exemption. When I asked what does "double discount" mean, there was no explanation, and instead went into something about being a small business and they only take in so much money, etc. Military discount is a choice a restaurant does, which to me indicates the menu items are overpriced, because no one is in the business of losing money. The tax exemption is not a discount. That just means they don't collect tax revenue on the meal. There is usually a form that you fill out for tax exemption at any place you go. This place had none. When asked for a receipt so we just have the VA give the taxes back, they said they don't produce any. They are cash/check only, which probably means they are claiming a loss whenever they may file taxes anyhow, because with a an almost exclusive cash only business, there would be no way to tell anyhow. Then, some fellow wanted to get involved along with his wife saying how we just wanted something for nothing, obviously not having a clue what the difference is between military discount and tax exemption, and not having a clue to mind their own business. The bottom line is while the food was good, we will not be returning, and would discourage any military retiree who is also tax exempt...
Read moreWhere do I begin on this one, this diner is one of the last ones that have eaten at around lawton and was looking forward to doing so because it has a 4.5 star rating. I cant understand how this place even gets 3. The only pleasant thing about this diner was I got my food fast. Our Biscuits and gravy tasted horrible the biscuits were hard and had a funkie taste I'm almost positive they were old The rest of my Portions where really skimpy and overcooked which was the eggs and hash browns. The ham steak was decent but was only half the size of most other places and tasted like a dirty griddle. The water tasted like it came from a dirty filter, the silverware was relly spotted and dirty looking. Our Waitress kept making Uncomfortable compliments She asked what we were doing that day and I told her I was taking my daughters shopping for a school project in her response with sarcasm was "O it must be nice to be able to go shopping." amongst several other uncomfortable compliments that she made with sarcasm. So unless you like rude employees a dirty restaurant and bad tasting food don't let the high rating fool you. Sorry for the long review but I tell...
Read moreI was not happy with the burnt pancakes, sausage, hash browns and the dried up biscuit😥. I think we went at the end of their shift because everything was horrible😭. This was the first time that we went to this establishment. we wanted to try something different💞. we were told that it had such good food but when we got there, it was crowded and we didn't have a place to sit😬. the waitress went to clean off the table for us. all she did was remove the dirty dishes, she didn't wipe the table down😵, you can tell she was in a hurry to help the other customers while we decided what to have😁. Everything was pretty cheap on the menu💖. they had a large selection of different items💗. they had a very crowded room😬, with only two waitresses.😱 so if you do go early in the morning, you will have to wait for a table. you will also have to be very patient with the waitresses, make sure and tip your...
