Hands down one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had. For any review who praised Morgan, I must have gotten her evil twin sister today. Short version: Morgan overcharged me and then told me should "could have given me the posted price if she wanted but wouldn't because I was rude..."
Went in to pick up a simple online print order. The employee at the copy and print center was helping another customer when I arrived so I hung back and waited. After some time of waiting, another employee asked if they could help me. I explained what I needed and she confirmed only the copy and print employee could help; which is what I had expected. I thanked them and let them know I'd continue to wait.
A few minutes later, the customer ahead of me finished and left. Since I had been standing there for some time, I was expecting the employee behind the counter, Morgan, to call me up or at least acknowledge that I'm there. Nope. She totally ignores me for an awkwardly long time unti I approach the counter. I ask for my online order and inquire if they have another item in the store. She has no idea if they carry the item and points me to an area of the store to go look myself.
I don't find what I'm looking for but find something similar. I pop the staple out of the packaging to pull the item out to take a closer look and decide it's not going to work. I bring said item to the counter, let her know I opened it (did not rip packaging) but did not want it and asked if I still had to pay for it....because that is the right thing to do. I was not expecting it to be a problem for them to reshelf it but still wanted to make the offer. Well, Morgan scoffed at my question and without any pleasantries told me I had to pay for it. Cool, no big deal and thanks for the salty attitude. It's a cheap $6 item so its not going to break the bank.
She rings it up but the register can't complete the transaction. She asks me to go to a different register but not before I see she's over charging me. I ask her to wait so I can verify the price. Sure enough the price she is ringing up is almost $2 more than the price posted in the store. I bring the price tag to the counter so she can see the posted price and correct it. I kid you not, she doesn't even look at the tag, barks at another employee to put the tag back on the shelf and then tells me "it's not her problem the price is different."
I tell her that is not right and I want to pay the price that's posted. Her response, "I could have given you that price if I wanted to, but you are rude so I wouldn't."
The whole interaction was so bizarre and uncalled for. Meanwhile, the second employee just stood there at the register, eating a sandwich (weird, right?) and watched all this go down in the totally...
Read moreThis store right here - in Leesburg Florida - is THE reason that "brick and mortar stores" are dying so quickly.
I drove about 30 minutes to get to the store and once there, I was sure that I had the wrong address. It's in a very marginal neighborhood and I sat in the car for a few minutes looking around trying to figure out what was going on.
I suppose it's just in a not-so-good neighborhood. When I went in, I found what I wanted pretty quickly (a small wooden filing cabinet) and took the tag to the front counter and asked to purchase this item. I was told that "the guy over there" handles that, and I was also told that he was "really busy with an online order."
So I waited. And waited. And waited some more. Finally, someone appeared and I handed him the tag and waited some more. When the clerk reappeared, he had a flat box on a cart.
I said, "Wait, that's not a filing cabinet."
He said, "Yes, it's what you asked for. It just needs some assembly."
I said, "If that's a filing cabinet, it needs a LOT of assembly."
He said, "We can get someone to come to your house and put it together for you for $75."
The only reason I went to Office Depot was because my elderly husband's great disdain for "online purchases." And why is that? Because everything requires some assembly. EVERYTHING.
When I got it home and unboxed it, I discovered that - while I had asked for the Espresso color (dark wood), I'd been given "light cherry." So I boxed it up and reversed the process.
I'm heading to a furniture store now. And I will never darken the front door of this Office...
Read moreToday was shocking. I usually have a fairly good experience with this store but today was crazy. So my shift ends at 7pm and any other store in my area that offers the fax service that I needed closes before then so I always come to this store. Now my first encounter with him ( Key) was pleasant not too long ago but this time I was met with rushing and rudness. I didn't know they close at 7:30pm online it says 8:30pm so when i walk in the store I completely by pass any sign on the front entrance. When I walked in Mr. Key kindly let me know immediately that I had 5 min, so I proceeded to fax my documents. While waiting for my fax to finish sending off, here comes Key again " we're closed...how many documents do you have? " I say 6" he says " yeah thats gonna take 6 mins and we're closed..I can have some one keep an eye on it and give you call in the moring but we're closed" mind you the fax was almost done, 5 out 6 and this was something I really needed to make sure was sent because it was accommodation paper forms for my doctor to sign for work for a medical condition. So instead of being nasty back I just left. And hopefully my firme sent off. Shame. I'm assuming he must be a manager or something the reason he was acting like that. I'm guessing because I was the only customer left. I'm a grown woman and pretty sure I'm way older (33) than him. I don't need to be spoken...
