My friends (another couple), my husband and myself were very excited to try out this retro diner not far from where we live! We had heard about it on Facebook. The restaurant was cute inside with black and white floors, 50's like dining tables, and celebrity posters decorating the walls. However the was very very dark. Our waitress, Daisy seemed pleasant. Daisy got our drinks and I also asked for ice which she rolled her eyes about. Strange. Soon we ordered our meals. My friend ordered a #2 which is fried shrimp and crab legs with 2 sides. Daisy said that his meal would also come with 3 hush puppies. Very well! Food was delivered in a timely manner, and my friend was served fried catfish, fried shrimp and a crab cake! Daisy comes back to check on us, and he nicely explains this is not what he ordered. Daisy's immediate response was defensive. She began to immediately disagree (pretty vehemently, grabbing the menu nearby and pointing to something he DID NOT ORDER, telling him it was what he ordered! We were stunned. He again said he ordered the number 2, nicely. She argumentatively and rudely disagreed, "No you ordered the Seafood Combination." This went on a couple more times. At that point we all told her we heard what he ordered. She offered to get something else, but my friend was so aggravated at her attitude he said he'd eat the cole slaw and shrimp. He is not one to make a scene. He absolutely hates fried fish and crab cakes, so he didn't have much of a dinner. Daisy is still defensive refusing to admit she made a mistake. Our dining experience was ruined. Not even an offer to comp his meal. We had all began eating and he didn't want to impose on us. Not a pleasant experience, not a professional employee, not returning. This needs to be addressed by management. Food: 3/5 | Service:1/5 |...
Read moreFirst, let it begin by saying as a business owner and mobile restaurant owner the last thing my husband and I like to do is to put anyone down in this industry. It’s really hard enough, trying to keep supplies, fix supplies and meet the demand of your consumers, then for people to come in and criticize your restaurant. However, this restaurant food was so horrible that I had to come on and say something.. My husband and I really tried to give them the benefit of the doubt by trying their catfish until we were told that it was not a real authentic catfish. So knowing the price of certain items that was understandable so we tried another fish in which the manager came out and recommended and even that fish was not good either. So I asked the server was the crab real crabcakes and she stated she did not know, but she thinks that it is, she told us that he makes them from scratch speaking of the COOK obviously so I tried it. Within three bites I realize that it was not authentic either and so I asked if I could change it for something else I informed the server that I was happy with my side items, but if I could change the crabcakes for another entrée in mind, I was not asking for my money back was only asking to exchange it for another entrée cost, and I was told that the manager had left for the day there was no one in charge not only could I not exchange it but I could not get my money back for it This was totally heartbreaking due to the fact that they advertise all you items and real authentic seafood. I don’t suggest this place to anyone and the only thing positive in it all was that the server was nice and the manager after getting tired of us asking was his seafood real decided to come out and speak with us and he was nice as well .. but again refused to accommodate...
