LOVE Boathouse! My husband and I visit the area multiple times a year and always make sure to stop by! Their wines are fantastic. They have a good variety of dry to sweet, and offer a cherry dessert wine that is phenomenal! They also have a couple of ciders that are a guaranteed crowd pleaser! The view at Boathouse is just beautiful. Set right on the water, there are Adirondack chairs and a few tables available as it overlooks the narrows and all its beauty. With occasional live music, the Boathouse is a wonderful place to spend an afternoon outside with some wonderful wine. The service at Boathouse has been nothing short of exceptional. As a frequent flier, I can say I’ve never had bad service. We are always greeted with genuine kindness and cared for as a friend. The staff really knows their products and they help you find just the wine you need to relax and unwind. When my husband and I visited last week, we were served by Carol, who was just fantastic. She was sweet as could be and gave us the best service we could ask for. She made us feel like truly valued customers. If you’re looking for a winery with a beautiful view, warm and friendly customer service, and top notch wine, Boathouse is sure to please!

What a cute little place to purchase wine. If the bar was large and fully stocked with different ones to try. Everyone was friendly as well. They have a nice back deck that looks over a creek where you can enjoy your wine and snacks. We visited during the harvest stampede and everyone was super hospitable. They even had a cute snack to go with the samplings. We bought a bottle of wine and enjoyed it later.

Boathouse Vineyards is a very charming place along Leelanau. I was fortunate enough to come across this while visiting the area. I was very happy I stopped in. The inside was very cozy and welcoming, as was my host. There is a backyard area where you can mingle with other guests.and a lounging area near the backdoor or a dock you can hang around at to enjoy the water.

Unfortunately did not have a good experience at Boathouse Vineyards over the weekend. We came in this past Saturday (10/2/21) with a group of 10. We fully understood that due to our large party we’d have to be split up, be served at different times etc. But sadly, the staff refused to help us. They offered no solutions to our big group or gave us other options of how they could help us. They just decided that due to our size - we could not be helped. When we asked for further clarification, the older woman working instructed her staff to “ignore the customers and not help them”. We were truly appalled by that treatment. We were looking forward to enjoying this winery and due to the way the staff treated us - they lost our business. We were paying customers and after they completely ignored us — we watched as they served many other people with flights and pours that walked in after us. Very poor service and won’t be back. Head down the road to Northern Latitudes Distillery where the service was FANTASTIC and our business was recognized &...

We were on our way back to Traverse City when we came upon this winery that was still open on a Sunday. The outside was cute but we were welcomed with a large tasting room, friendly staff and a gorgeous day. Being from a similar climate (Missouri) to Michigan, the types of grapes and wines are similar. Unfortunately, the sweeter wines are not my favorite, but we both found a glass of red that we liked and headed towards the music we heard playing. I was not expecting such a sprawling space! The covered porch was packed with obvious regulars that were visiting with one another. There was a covered patio area where a guy was playing familiar 'oldies' on his guitar and he had a great voice. Further down the path were groups of families under umbrellas, another covered area, and the land butted up against a narrow portion of Lake Leelanau. You could see people in their pontoon boats floating by or stopping to listen to the music. I'm so glad we stopped. I highly recommend this place just for the atmosphere and friendly patrons & staff....
