We watched three tables get served before us that came in after us. We ordered right after my brother who got his food in 5 minutes, yet our two sandwiches had a 30 minute ticket time (no updates or apologies for the wait). And they subbed our bread to caraway rye without asking us. I personally hate the taste of caraway. On top of it all the food was just kinda "MEH" I wish that I could take my tip back, or go back in time and choose anywhere else.
Post response update- We came in as a group of three and ordered on two checks. It shouldn’t matter how many people call or click in an order. You should serve your tables as a whole. We made the effort to walk into your establishment. Just cause someone clicks a mouse doesn’t mean they should get to cut in front of people in the physical line at your counter.
Your two Reuben’s have the bread described differently insinuating that they are different breads. The corned beef Reuben says caraway rye. The Turkey Reuben says it is traditional rye. If they are the same bread they should be portrayed the same way. Many delis have caraway rye and a lighter more traditional rye. But when a person waits a half hour for two sandwiches they don’t want to wait for it to be remade. So, I ate a small pile of meat by itself in order to move on with my day.
Lastly we were not comped. I regret that I had to pay and tip up front. I’d take both back if I could.

Read moreWhat we expected, traveling to the UP? Gorgeous shores and stunning vistas. Check. And check. What we were surprised--and delighted--by? The best mac & cheese we've EVER tasted, eaten at Fiddleheads in small-but-special Lake Leelanau. Had dinner there on a Saturday night at the end of the season (late September) and were absolutely blown away by this dish: a velvety-smooth mixture of the most spectacularly balanced cheeses (including, surprisingly, bleu) that clung beautifully (without clumping) to shells cooked to al dente perfection--topped with crispy breadcrumbs to give the dish terrific texture. It was something that could have come from the kitchen of a Michelin-starred restaurant but was, in fact, created by the chef who was in the kitchen that night. He said he'd been working on the dish for a while; we think he's nailed it, and we only wish we could get it closer to home. Our compliments to the chef: Your mac & cheese was our second-favorite thing about the trip--and you shouldn't feel bad about coming in second to Sleeping Bear Dunes. Thanks for an amazing...
Read moreMy wife and I stopped in for lunch yesterday and we immediately excited by the whole vibe of the place. The turntable was spinning vinyl and they had an extensive collection of records to choose from. The atmosphere was laid back and inviting. My wife said this was a place she could just slow down and hang out in.
The staff was so friendly and welcoming! The menu is not extensive, but perfectly has a great variety of items. Ingredients are locally sourced, which is very cool. I ordered the smash burger with an extra patty and it was amazing! My wife had the Elote soup which was also excellent! The price were also very reasonable. We are not from the area, but will make it a point to go back and try other things and hang out. They offer indoor seating and also have a large outdoor seating area. Sorry, I forgot photos of our food. It looked so good we got right to eating! Great job...
