My doctor of 30 years retired and I scheduled an appointment as a new patient so I could obtain prescription refills for medications I have taken for years. The nurse practitioner charged over $700 for the visit. I was later billed for a wellness visit which I did not and would never request. That was only part of an all around unpleasant experience. When I had questions about my lab results, the nurse didn't call me back. Days later, she fabricated an entire conversation with me that never took place. How is one expected to deal with that? Still waiting on the prescription and now completely without medication, I insisted on speaking directly with the nurse practitioner. The nurse's followup notes were filled with even more untruths which I suppose were to avoid taking responsibility for her dropping the ball. After I finally managed to get a prescription, it was only for 3 months despite there being no change in dosage. The receptionist was quick to say she couldn't help before allowing me to finish explaining what I needed. The office manager said they require visits every 3 months for maintenance drugs. I find that to be outrageous considering the industry standard is annually. These are NOT controlled substances. The office manager said if I didn't agree with their policies I could go elsewhere. When I said know that and don't need their permission to go to another doctor, she hung up on me. There is nothing remotely Christian about the way I was treated here. In fact, the first thing you'll notice upon entering the waiting room is an altar with prayer candles depicting Kansas City Chiefs football players as saints. Don't go here unless you have the time and money to be a cash cow and enjoy being spammed by your doctor to come in for every vaccine and screening test imaginable. The same day I was there I received a "reminder" to schedule an appointment for a lab test that was supposedly overdue. If there was a need for it, why was it not ordered then? They are so focused on their own agenda that the reason for my visit wasn't even on...
Read moreThis place is a joke! I was looking forward to becoming a patient at this doctors office. They are close to my new home. When I called I was quoted one price. When I went in they tried to charge me almost $100 additional. The women at the front desk had no idea how much anything cost. After asking their manager they assured me I would be charged a set amount and nothing more. I wasnt even seen for the appointment that I had scheduled. I told the nurse practitioner I was having some anxiety and she prescribed me anti depressants that do not even help with anxiety! After all of this unprofessionalism I decided I would still give them a chance. I called my original doctor and told him what she prescribed and he laughed and told me I did not need anti depressants for a bit of anxiety. Now I have received an email saying I have a past due outstanding balance on my account? What for? I paid in full the amount they quoted for a new patient visit. I called and the lady at the front desk said they messed up and charged me more and only the manager could fix it, and of course the manger is not in. My first experience was terrible at this doctors office. I really do not recommend or trust this place. They seem to be dishonest and charge whatever they feel like even after quoting a set amount. At this point I expect a full refund because I wasnt even seen for what I made my appointment for and was prescribed bogus medication that I dont need. Look elsewhere for a doctor! Dont...
Read moreVery disappointed in the Customer Service. I took off from work for an afternoon appointment at 3:30pm. I work downtown and encountered a wreck on my way. I called the office to inform them I was running late. I was told I had to arrive within 10 minutes of my appointment or I "may" have to reschedule. I told "Annette" I was doing the best I could to get there. I was obviously having bad luck that day and even after taking a detour, I encountered another wreck and called the office again to let them know I was delayed further. I was told by "Annette" that I needed to already be there and I would need to reschedule. I explained, I took off from work and was not able to reschedule. She stated it was office policy and it was the Doctor's discretion as to whether I could still be seen or if I needed to reschedule. I then requested that she ask the Doctor. I was put on a brief hold and when she returned to the line, I was told the Doctor would not see me and I would have to reschedule. I wait longer than 10 minutes to see the Doctor. It was late in the afternoon...I don't see why they could not have had me still come and worked me in. I took my business elsewhere...Walgreens. My normal Doctor is Dr. Schultz and she was not in that day. I don't recall the name of the Doctor I was supposed to see, but it was on Friday, October 30th. I have never had any issues until this day. I am not a...
