City Center Fitness — Attraction in Lenexa

I just recently cancelled my membership and I want to inform the public who consider going here why you should consider another gym. I had been going to this gym for about a year, and they had a really awesome thing going, one of the best gyms id ever went to and even bragged about to numerous of people. they had classes everyday-free daycare monday-friday... well over the matter of months the gym took over new management, here's where things go bad. They fired almost all of the daycare staff through an EMAIL the staff had been working their for close if not longer than 5 years. They took away classes completely, they limited daycare to 3 days a week and no kids older than 6, they changed hours, they even have some weeks where the daycare isn't even open but expects us to pay full memberships prices with no daycare. it just seems like they are shutting down the place slowly. A lot of the members would have been totally okay paying more on the membership and being able to have classes and daycare all the time. go pay planet fitness prices over this place. their "family environment" isn't even a word they should even use anymore. its sad it honestly is because the new management absolutely DESTROYED this what once was an awesome family...

Very reasonably priced at $25/ mo, really decent strength training equipment. They have 3 Olympic platform/squat racks, plyometric boxes, a variety of plate stack-machines and universal cable machines, a smith machine and leg press, and cardio equipment (if you're into that). They have a few classes but I haven't tried them. They're always pretty full, so they seem popular. Basically if all you care about is getting a decent workout, skip that expensive mega gym down the street, you know the one, "strife-time" or "life-crime" or something, and come here. I called to cancel my membership in May and I was told I had to come in. I went in to cancel and apparently the person filled out a freeze. The gym continued to charge my card for 3 months. When I discovered the mistake, I called and emailed. No one got back with me. I called again and left a message. My wife called. We were never able to speak with a manager and was finally told that they would NOT refund or credit the money. I was shocked and told the person I would not be returning ever and she said ok. Thought I would post this so others would know to check they there membership is not just "froze" if they ever...
