My experience being that I'm a local I can give you the first hand review it's a beautiful place to visit and bring your children to look at the wildlife Turtles and ducks frogs and such. But the bad part is of course it's public so anybody in the public can come and spend time and take advantage of the beauty and I mean literally. They take advantage of the fact they can throw trash out and Drug needles and nasty stuff and pull off not carrying that it's washing down into the pond and that children first and foremost are endangered so I believe they can do better about cleaning the place up and maintaining it as much tax money as we put toward these places. All it would take is being a little smarter in making people purchase a pass with a number that they can swap the card through and the computer can date and time their visit so we can get rid of the Riff Raff's that are using the park as a private domain to do whatever they wish in the dark and away from eyes and leaving trash and drug paraphernalia behind. This would let us know who was in the park and at what time it would also determine when this is happening most often and furthermore cameras would be a good idea also it's sad but true that we have to take steps to protect our children and their future habitats. This could be for all recreational parks and the money generated from the card passes will not only help take care of these problems but also would put funding toward building other parks and maintaining the ones we have now. So if you agree with me please help my sponsoring my idea if you have the power to do so and happened to work in the environment uptown in the State office maybe you can take my idea and throw it towards the right people. Please go enjoy the park it's beautiful just be safe what's your children and grandchildren and pets but definitely go indulge in nature in the beauty we have in Caldwell County. Local love helps communities grow these are my words and I stand by them sometimes I wish I could copy right then LOL, God bless live life to the fullest, sincerely your Caldwell...

Read morePark was absolutely stunning! 10\10 highly recommend you visit this little peaceful park if you're in the area! Clear walking path. Plants well kept. Fairly flat black top, so it's great for people with mobility issues. Handicap friendly. Visually appealing. I did see some trash on the ground in various place, and noticed there weren't many trashcans availible. I do believe having more recepticles along the path would allow people the chance to do the right thing.
Driving directions- (I'm not a local here) Google maps took me to some sort of road seemingly leading to the park it's self, but the gate was closed, and required a badge or number to access? I was persistent to come to this park so I looked on the maps and found the entrance. Driving east on Hickory blvd I then made a Right on 321 Right on Norwood St SW Right on Lakewood Cir...
