The Wash For Cars — Attraction in Leonia

My husband just got back from getting my car washed here. He came back very upset with the level of service he received today. He had gone once before for his own truck a Chevy Colorado and came back very impressed with the work that was done on his truck. Mind you, my husband has an eye for detail and when he said they did a great job.. they really did. He said he would take my car there too so he did that today. Only today he had a very bad experience starting with the woman who was in charge there today. First he said that she had a very bad attitude towards him from the start. She wanted to charge him $18 for my Lexus NX200T which is a crossover and he told her that he payed $18 for his truck so that can't be right for a crossover. She spoke to him very bad. She asked him who charged him that amount last time and he told her who it was and she said "Oh! That was the owner! So we will see about that!!!" He ended up paying $16 for the car wash and this time the carwash was not even close to what he got last time. They did not do a good job with my car at all. He is convinced that woman told them not to bother too much with the car. All I can say is he came home very upset and said he will never bring our cars there again. When he went the first time he said that the owner was a really great guy and he made sure of the level of service he received that day. However, the owner was NOT there today, instead it was a very rude woman with a bad attitude and the service was not done the way it should...

Been visiting this spot for years, maybe I visit only 2-3 times a year but have relied on it until today, I suspect management has changed at some point and this review will most likely prompt their reply. You don't have to believe my review but some advice: what you'll catch you won't see until you drive away so I recommend checking everything before you pull off admittedly my mistake. Smudges were on the interior windows not wiped, door cupholders had some stray tissues I thought would have been intuitive enough for them to catch with the vacuum. We waited (and Im talking about outside the car by benches not in the was phase) almost a full 25-30 minutes for standard cleaning not even during busy hours 3pm on a Friday afternoon (whereas in years past the experience was much faster and cleaner just for the wipe down and vacuum phase) . I think what really did it for me was my basketball some how made it's way from the suv trunk floor into my son's car seat of all places but not even taken out once they were done. Anyway I tipped thinking it was the usual and now because thats spent I cant risk going back without venturing out elsewhere. I usually bring my car here and they’ve done a good job in the past. Today, however, I had a terrible experience. I came in with a small milk spill on my back seat. They told me it would cost more for cleaning, but I said I would handle that myself and asked for just the standard wash.

To my surprise, they didn’t vacuum the back seat area at all. When I asked the owner (a different guy today), he was extremely rude and dismissive. He exaggerated the spill as if it were some kind of dangerous chemical, even comparing it to acid, which is ridiculous—if it were acid, it would have damaged the seat already. The spill was only in one corner, but he used it as an excuse for not letting his staff vacuum the entire back area.

In the end, I paid for a wash where the back seat wasn’t touched at all. That’s unacceptable. I expect basic respect and customer service, not exaggeration and attitude. To the actual owner who may read this: please hire someone professional, because the way this man treated me was disrespectful, unhelpful, and harmful to your...
