The best dining experience for my family As a sushi lover with a 14 month old baby, there has always been challenges eating out. However at choo choo train sushi, even on his bad days, he would go in not so happy and would come out very happy. Food, most importantly, is great. If you ever tried “say good bye roll” you always be craving for it. Super spicy and tasty. I also tried almost all the rolls and appetizers on the menu and havent had a single complaints yet. Price, may be a little bit on the higher side for a sushi restaurant in the region but it is worth every penny :) Ambiance is just so cute. Train running at the bar, colorful umbrellas on the ceilings, vibrant and spacious seatings. Happy vibes as soon as you enter the restaurant Customer service. I think this is the category where choo choo train really shines. EVERYONE at the restaurant is very friendly and kind. You go in as a stranger and come out as a friend. I could see that they had really put their time and effort to make sure guests have an amazing experience. Cleanliness. As a baby mama, cleanliness is the category that I am very sensitive about. And again. No single complaints. They would wipe the high chair very clean before you seat your baby. Clean table, seats, floors. A magnificent Japanese restaurant, with beautiful decor, trains and an outstanding service. This a rare review that I am giving an extra star for the above and beyond service we had at choo choo.

Choo choo opened recently in Leonia on Broad ave. Plenty of free street parking. As you walk in, you get a loud warm welcome. The counter seats are served by train during dinner, but during lunch they bring the dishes to counter/table.

Their menu is full of interesting stuff. Sushi names are really modern/funny like avenger’s, dragon ball, whatever! (Chef’s special). Fyi, they are all really good, especially whatever. It comes wrapped in aluminum foil, with fire burning around it. Once you open the wrap, its sushi floating on a mix of sauce like spicy mayo, sweet and chili.

The fries and nuggets are okay. Nuggets are cooked to much, so it crispier. Skewers are decent. The rice bowl with egg was super tasty. We liked it a lot. At the end we had a the fried ice cream, it was okay for me.

From start to end we had a an exceptional service. Everyone was attentive, funny, thoughtful and no one spending time on their phone. They ran the train around so the kids in the restaurant can have fun, handing them candies and toys with the train. We got some great suggestion from them on what to order. Overall I was beyond impressed with the quality of their service.
