Good As New — Attraction in Lexington

I would not recommend shopping at “Come As New” in Lexington sunset blvd, yesterday this lady named Janice made plans with me to purchase a couch and loveseat she told me she would be able to meet me there at her shop between 1-3 I said okay sounds good, this morning when I texted her to confirm that we are still meeting today, she told me that she never heard from me and had made plans already. I have screenshots to prove that I confirmed meeting her between the hours of 1-3 so I was like okay no problem how abt meeting tomorrow or Tuesday when you are opened, she just texted me back “sorry sold it” sorry but that’s not how you do business I can post screenshots to prove that indeed I confirmed meeting her. If she had someone else buying it before me then that’s totally fine I get that but setting up a time and day for me to come get it then turn around saying I never confirmed it untrue and have proof to show it. Bought a couch & recliner from here and brought it home Saturday. My husband slept on the couch Sunday night he woke up Monday morning covered in bites. We thoroughly inspected the couch and found dead & alive bed begs. Called the owner of the store to tell her and she stated that they thoroughly inspected what’s bought into the store. I explained to her that by looking at the couch you see nothing but once you really dig deep and start removing things you will find them dead and alive bugs they really hide well. The owner stated well we don’t investigate that deep. She was very adamant that these bugs couldn’t be in her store well clearly if you don’t dig deep then you want find bugs they aren’t going to just jump out and say here we’re. She wouldn’t take ownership of this at any cost she said no refunds she could only give a discount on other furniture as if I would dare buy another thing from this store. Buyer beware! Terrible service. This establishment uses Facebook Marketplace for free advertising and posts items for sale that are evidently for purchase in their store. My wife and I contacted the seller through marketplace not realizing this was a store willing to abuse the terms of service. My wife contacted the seller numerous times through Facebook messenger to arrange a pickup and after driving an hour across town I find out that they sold it to someone else with no contact to wife stating this fact.
