Sea Lion Aquatic Park — Attraction in Lisle

First and definitely the last time we will be visiting. It was a clear day with only 30% chance if rain. Of course, the 30% chance of rain quickly turned into 100%. It was not communicated well that the park was going to be closed for the rest of the day. We had to find out from another patron. They don't offer any rainchecks despite inclamite weather which is not right. While running to my car, I had noticed a sign that the parking lot could be a hazardous flood zone if heavy rain occurs. When attempting to get out of the parking lot, we noticed big tree branches blown over and of course a flooded parking lot. Why in the world would you come compromise the safety of your customers by allowing them to park in a lot that is a flood zone ? No other alternatives for parking were posted. I have loved this pool since I was a baby! I spent so many summers here playing with my friends. This pool offers many different attractions for kids of all ages-- a baby pool, slides, a splash playground, a sand pit, and even lap lanes for those who want to swim laps. It also has a concession stand with tons of good food, like pizza, candy, nachos, etc. I also did swim team here when I was 12 and I loved it! It does get crowded on hot days, so you are allowed to bring your own chairs to sit in!! I highly recommend doing this. If you're a Lisle resident, you get a discount. If you are not a Lisle resident, I recommend using groupon, there are some great deals for this pool! Be aware: From Mon-Thurs, the facility has swim lessons in the evening. my first time visiting this water park with my girlfriends son. very disappointed with the staff and the park itself. when we arrived and went into the locker room to put belongings in locker we walked past the shower stalls only to see a man bathing butt naked with the curtain wide open. after swimming for 2 hours we got up and left. we went back into locker room to retrieve belonging from locker only to find another older gentleman in front of the lockers completely naked for me and the child to see. it was completely unnecessary and disgusting. in all my years of going to public water parks I never come across this issue. when i brought up this issue TWICE to the staff they all looked dazed and confused and honestly didn’t seem like they cared. why would they? the entire staff are teenagers. so much for family...
