New Day Thrift Store — Attraction in Little Canada

This thrift store is easy to access, well stocked for a smaller store, and has quality merchandise at a price that is surprisingly low in comparison to larger chain type 2cnd hand stores. I recently moved to the neighborhood and needed to be very frugal when shopping for my new apartment. The 'New Day Thrift Store' was exactly what i needed. I have shopped there on several occasions and have always been very satisfied with the experience. I like to donate my clothing and household items here to support this thrift store and the services that they offer. I have read some complaints about the donation process and I understand. The lady who takes your things in the back is not the most pleasant person. She asks me every time if my stuff is in good condition and she never seems particularly pleased to see the "new" stuff. I honestly think she is very overwhelmed by her job or volunteer position and it's time for her to move on to something else. I don't think it has to do with anybody or any of the things being donated. I am sure all donation sites receive a lot of garbage that they have to sort through, but that just comes along with the job unfortunately. This is a small establishment set on the edges of a quiet but beautiful suburb of Little Canada, in a tiny strip mall with a downtown bus stop. The left entrance at the corner takes you into the furniture dept and the middle door at right takes you into clothing and everything else departments.

Never usually crowded, it's not so picked over as larger thrift stores. So many nice things to be found it almost feels like a hand-picked antique goods store (except for the price shock).

The staff are all very friendly and helpful, cheerfully and quick to smile or laugh I think they enjoy working there. Best of all is when you walk in, the manager glances at you and says 'today is a half-off sale', hoping you'll take even more good stuff off...
