The food and store itself is fine and some of it you get some really good deals on. What I’m most unimpressed with is the cashiers attitudes. I’ve been in 5 times now, all different people checking me out at the register. Not a single one of them was nice or had a good attitude. My last experience specifically the lady rolled her eyes and caught an attitude with a very old lady that was confused about getting bags (she didn’t realize you have to pay for them.) This store is a new and confusing experience to some being our first store in Little Rock with buggies you have to put a quarter in and groceries you have to buy bags for. A little clarity to the customers would be helpful rather than making them feel stupid for not knowing. On my first trip here, I purchased reusable bags and sat them up in the cart so the cashier could scan and set my items in the bags. She moved my bags out of her way and start literally throwing my items in the buggy. My wife and I looked at each other in awe that a brand new store is allowing their employees to act as such. The cashiers have just been so extremely rude and have no customer service. Makes me not want to shop here and I hate that because I’ve found a couple of things I really like to purchase here. I guess I need to just use...
Read morePrices are decent. Definitely check online and compare just like every store. I will say manned check out (whoever was checking me out) is grossly inconsiderate and understands nothing of actually scanning and placing groceries so nothing is damaged. Didn't say anything to me in greeting just acted like my presence was a bother which is very disconcerting and instead of asking if I'd like a different cart or to purchase bags he just carelessly tossed items into the basket which wasn't the one I used. He actually couldnt even be bothered to actually speak to me till i started saying how upset i was and only thing said was "sorry". This is key information as im shopping alone with 2 small children that I then have to finish placing items on conveyor belt and swap kids to new basket well my items are being tossed into said basket. Never again would I recommend someone to go to a...
Read moreAldi is an interesting grocery store that is well worth a visit. They are all about helping you get good value for your grocery store dollars, although they do so in some unusual ways.
You are expected to bring and use reusable shopping bags. If you choose not to do so they will gladly sell you disposable shopping bags.
There is a monetary incentive for customers to return their own shopping carts to the store, thereby reducing labor costs for the store. Customers must use a quarter coin to unlock a cart for use. The coin is released when the cart is returned to the store.
Aldi values quality and price over brand name. You will find brand names here that you have never seen before.
Overall I have been impressed with this...
