My husband went into Rock and Roll Sushi about two weeks ago, and he was with a friend of his and forgot to grab his mask. He has went into this restaurant SEVERAL times since the pandemic began, and he has never been told he had to have a mask walking from the door to his table, but he would have had he been asked. This time, when he walked in, the hostess told him he needed a mask to come in, and he said he didn't have one on him (he was with a friend in his truck) and asked if they had one he could use. The girl said she would go check in the back, and came out with what my husband assumes is the owner of that franchise. Apparently, the hostess went back and told him that my husband verbally assaulted her, and that he does that every time he comes in. The owner got very irate with my husband, telling him that he isn't going to speak to his employees that way and that he could lose his liquor license if people don't wear their masks, and why is it such an issue for him to wear a mask in their store. My husband told him that he didn't talk to the girl any kind of way, all he did was ask her if they had a mask for him to use. I'm not sure why the hostess lied on my husband like she did, or why the owner believed him when my husband has been in this restaurant as many times as he has, and has NEVER spoken to anyone that way. He doesn't talk to people that way in general, because he is very laid back. This was our favorite sushi place and one of our favorite restaurants, but we will never go back here again. This kind of behavior is absolutely unacceptable, and I will be sure to never recommend this restaurant to anyone ever again. Read moreI ordered takeout while I was waiting for my order I sat at the bar for a drink. Michelle was the bartender on duty. She never acknowledged me she had a full conversation for 5 minutes. I had to interrupt the conversation to get service. She apologized to the couple that she was having a conversation with instead of apologizing to me for not acknowledging me. A simple hello I’ll be with you all in a minute would have sufficed. I brought it to her intentions her excuse was that people sit at the bar all of the time after they order and she never had to acknowledge them. I further explained that in the service industry you can’t assume that a person doesn’t want to order. If a patron sits at a table you acknowledge and greet them. I requested a refund because I didn’t appreciate the service that I received. She stated that she was the manager and that she couldn’t give me a refund. She went on to say that it didn’t have anything to do with race as to why I received the service that I received. Another server came proclaiming to be the manager I didn’t get her name she followed me out of the restaurant telling me that she would call the owner and I could speak with him directly when I stated that was contacting corporate. They both were unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful. I never raised my voice or brought attention to myself they were being belligerent. I wish I could have given this review zero stars. Read morePlaced a to-go order in-store and they brought it out to my car. Got home and half the order wasn’t there. Called 7 times and the phone rang for more than 10 minutes. Drove back to the restaurant and pulled up my bank statement showing the date, time and amount I paid less than an hour before. I didn’t ask for a refund- just wanted the missing items that I paid for. She tried to look up my order in the system but couldn’t find it even though I pulled up the charge in my banking app and showed her the exact amount charged to my card. I could see on her computer the amount of each purchase displayed so I know that information was accessible. She told me they wouldn’t give me my missing food (2 sides of fried rice and a side of shrimp - like I’m really going to scam them over that) since they couldn’t find my receipt. The woman who (did not actually) help me was the same woman who brought the food to my car.
Best part is while I was there waiting on her to find my receipt, two customers called and were upset about orders and she did nothing to help and ended the conversation by CHUNKING the phone down on a table. Seems mistakes, terrible customer service, and zero responsibility is a pattern 🤔 I ended up leaving because that food was not worth wasting more of my time.
Definitely understand mistakes being made because we are humans and that’s life. But the absolute lack of responsibility or desire to fix THEIR mistakes is baffling to me. See picture attached of...
