I called to ask if they had a decent selection of plus size dresses for my daughters prom. I was told yes, they they had just sold their last size 24, but we were looking for 18-20's and were told they had them. We drove 1.5 hours from Heber Springs with gas at $4 a gallon, walk in and there are dresses everywhere, so my daughter gets excited and points to some black gowns. A man walks up and first speaks to the thinner girls that walked in behind us, then turns to us and says, "Let me show them to the plus sizes and then I will be back to help you", meaning the 2 behind us. He then takes us past long racks full of dresses to this sad little circle rack with about 10-12 dresses total that consisted of all of the plus sizes they had in the entire store. Not just the size 20's, but every thing plus size that they had. The 2 dresses in our size we're not at all what we we're looking for. It was a completely wasted trip. My daughter was hurt and we did not like the way the man came up to us at the door and just started right off with let me show you the plus sizes. Maybe let someone ask for plus sizes first, don't just look at them and say let me take you to the plus sizes as if all he noticed was that we were overweight. We know we are, no need to embarrass people. I was so disappointed. Have these stores looked around America lately? There are far more of us in the above a size 14 range than there are under a size 10, yet you go in a store and they are just full of tiny dresses. If you sold your last size 24, yet have racks full of size 2's, doesn't that tell you that you should stock more in the size 24 range? I would say this store caters to those who are thin and well off. If you do not fit in those categories, I don't recommend this place at all. These stores should do much better. Beautiful girls come in all sizes and shapes and all of them should get to have that wonderful experience of finding their dress and...
Read moreOne of the worst experiences I have ever experienced in a store. Not to mention this is not the first time I have had a horrible experience with horrible customer service here. ZERO STARS My friend and I are shopping for a bridesmaid dress, this is our first stop. When we walked in, we were asked to sign in and then asked a series of 100 questions. I answered that we did not know what we were looking for and just wanted to look around. He continued to ask me questions and then got frustrated when we told him that we just wanted to look around, we’ve been here before and just want to see options. I told him that he was stressing me out the way he was asking me questions. After being incredibly judgmental, we finally got away from him.
As my friend and I looked around at the options, he walked over to us and proceeded to tell me how I was rude to him and that he was meant to help us. I told him that I was sorry, I did not intend to be rude, just express how uncomfortable he made me. After pointing a finger at me and calling me rude several times, he walked away. We immediately left.
I would not recommend this place to anyone. We were incredibly uncomfortable and felt unwelcome as soon as we walked in. This felt like a literal nightmare
Here’s something to consider, not everyone wants help. Not everyone wants to answer a series of questions before shopping. Some people just want to be left alone while shopping. Dress shopping can be stressful enough for some people as it is, but this type of Customer service adds to the anxiety.
Again, this is not the first time I have shopped there and felt like the staff was judgmental and rude. I tried to give it another chance today, however I will NEVER make that...
Read moreEdited to say that I just read other reviews and YES they do talk about you behind your back and laugh. Dress shopping is stressful especially if you are not small and all dresses fit. **
I will not be back. The young girl that works there is very rude! You can only pick/shop for 3 dresses at a time. Then you give the workers your 3 dresses to try on and you get in line for a dressing room. If none of the 3 work, you have to get dressed and go shop again for only up to 3 more options, You once again give them your next 3 dresses and then go to the back of the line for a dressing room again. (They will NOT let you shop for all dresses you want to try on even if you are willing to only try on 3 at a time and return to the end of the line for a dressing room.)
This cycle repeats until: A. You give in and just buy one because you are tired, frustrated, and overwhelmed. B. You leave and go to the NUMEROUS wonderful other dress stores in the same geographical area.
(I'm betting their marketing team is hoping for option A, but it failed for at least 10 customers yesterday just in the two hours we were there. Out of the 10 others this young lady offended that left the store- choosing option B - we ran into 7 of them at First Impressions. All 7 of us bought our dresses there and had a wonderful experience.) P.S. we were there for 2 hours and only managed to try on 5 dresses and not because of the options that could have been tried on.
Here are the other wonderful dress option shops in the area. (Yes, we visited all of them over the same weekend with NO experience at ALL like what we had at Buffie's All the Rage.) Little Rock Area First Impressions - Jacksonville Conway Area Royal We Emerge You can...
