I brought my mom here for the first time today and she was completely blown away. She was greeted like a long lost friend, with hugs and warm welcomes all around. The restaurant wasn't overly packed, as we arrived around 1:00 and had avoided the initial lunch rush. There was plenty of room to manuver her wheelchair and the hostess removed the extra chair without us even asking. Lots of times we're left to figure out how to get my mom's wheelchair situated, but they were right there to help. Our server was Jasmine, and she made a few recommendations from the drink list (lav/lemon mimosa or the brunch punch) and mom selected the Brunch Punch. As you can see, she was delighted (Thank you, bartender Julez)! I ordered a Brown Sugar Honey Matcha Latte and it was almost too pretty to drink! Tasted great too, like chai with a hint of brown sugar - I would have liked it to be burning hot rather than warm, but I think that's more my personal preference than anything else. Mom ordered the garden omelette, which had mozzerella, mushrooms, spinach and tomatoes - all favorites. I would have gotten a picture but she INHALED it, and took the croissant and strawberry butter back to the nursing home with her for a midnight snack. I had my favorite, the pecan pancakes. They were delicious! Throughout our meal, servers greeted her and said hello as they walked by, and she said it made her feel so special. Our server talked to her about nursing school, and even listened as my mom told her stories of her old nursing days. My mom can get a little nostalgic and Jasmine treated her as if what she had to say was of the utmost importance. Hosea gave her a great big hug when we left and thanked her for spending time with them. We even watched one of the other servers babbling and making faces with a baby in a high chair while her mom looked at the menu.... it's the little things like that, keeping a kiddo distracted so mom can breathe for a second... that keep people coming back to this place. Little classy touches, from the flowers on the table to the pleasant atmosphere. Sure it can get super crowded in there during the rush and a little hot with this hundred degree weather, but I really appreciate how they made my mom feel like a...
Read moreI used to be a loyal visitor to Delicious Temptations until about a year ago. Whenever family came in from out of town, this place was one of my if-you-want-to-try-something-local places that I would have recommended. Not anymore. One day, while making food deliveries for a food delivery app, I got pinged for an order from there. I always knew that the timing was not going to be the best, but, because I was loyal to the restaurant, I was willing to wait it out so someone else could enjoy their food. When I was there, another individual came in with a pretty large delivery order for another delivery app. Then, for some strange reason, they pushed my order behind the larger one. My pick up was just a small single person order that would have taken me 5 mins, tops, to prepare. After a 55 min wait, I finally got the order and on my way out, I did inform the son that was running the restaurant that day that this was totally uncalled for and they needed to improve their delivery aspects of their business. Now, I've been removed from being able to deliver for them. I have sat next to the store and watched my other delivery friends get orders from there but I haven't received a single order from there for over a year. I have had friends that were further away from the restaurant get orders while I was not more than a block away and was blocked from them. This review definitely hurt to write out, but, it needed to be said. If you would like to try a nice addition to the Little Rock breakfast/brunch seen, try out the Toasted Yoke. The wait might be a little on the long side, but, you can set up reservations for the time you'd like and the food is amazing. Their...
Read moreI've heard great things and went to check it out. As a brunch place, I figure eggs Benedict are the best choice. I got the one with lump crab and artichoke (Eggs Temptations) and my wife got the California ones. We also got potato casserole and cheese grits. I was rather disappointed. The lump crab was grey in color, and tasted like canned tuna. The texture of the artichoke was off as well. And the hollandaise sauce didn't have any flavor. So overall, it was disappointing. My wife felt the same about her eggs. My potato casserole was good, and I recommend that one. Good texture and flavor. The cheese grits, however, also lacked flavor. So, 1 for 4. Our server, Connie, did a good job. Was there when we needed her and not there when we didn't. So pretty much what I'm looking for. When I went, they appeared to be remodeling, which, based on the pictures I've seen, it was time. So I hate to dock for that. But it felt very much not done. Like someone started building a restaurant, ran out of money, and said "this will do." Again, it's not fair in that it's under construction, but that's my experience. All that taken together: I probably won't be back. The most important thing to me is food quality, and it just didn't have it. And I can accept sub par flavors at a significant discount, but after a 20 percent tip, water to drink, I was at $40 for both of us, which I think was more than my experience warranted. So, take that as you will, but that's...
