I have been struggling for awhile with what to do with my sweet Bear with his new anxiety and behavior. He had been going to a different daycare prior but not consistently. And he used to do very well, until things changed. There are many factors I think that have played a huge part in his behavior and his anxiety. He hates to leave me and does not do well with being left anywhere alone. So, I google searched and researched different doggie daycares and came across Hillcrest Dogspot. I reached out to the owner with some questions and Victoria immediately reached back out and discussed how she runs her daycare and the environment she provides for the pups. From the initial phonecall, I knew I had a good feeling about it and about her! So , I scheduled a trial daycare day to see how Bear would do. When I first walked in, I immediately had a calming response and Bear seemed ok as well. The rest is history. Hillcrest Dogspot is a very personable , very thought out daycare, FOR THE PUPS! Just to speak for Bear, my pup, Victoria kept reassuring me and gave me advice on what I needed to do or not as well as her feedback at daycare when he was there. There are also cameras that she watches them as well. We started out with just daycare during the day to just now finishing a week long of overnight stay. I received daily updates when he stayed overnight , which was what I needed and loved! I am so grateful to have found this daycare and will not take Bear anywhere else. There is a limit for dogs that she does , which helps my dog but also I think helps for all dogs to get the attention, love, and care they need and deserve. A daycare that allows 100 plus dogs a day was not what worked for us especially for my dogs personality. Hillcrest Dogspot is a very well thought out place for dogs that are like our children! My dog is my child! Thank you Victoria and staff for loving on my Bear and Thank you for working with him with his personality and reassuring me as well. You helped Bear but you really helped me just as much if not more đ€Łđ„°!!! The first Picture shows his smile at daycare and the second one is Bear back at home wore out...
Read moreThis was our first time using hillcrest dog spot and the dog boarding service. I will start by saying I appreciate the communication about our dog getting hurt. They called and told us his tail was bleeding and sent a video of it. There are wooden fences when you walk in and when we dropped him off they opened the gate to let him in and we saw several dogs loose. The dogs were not separated at that time, even though when we called to talk about this incident that occurred we were told our dog never came in contact with other dogs even after we told them that we saw our dog with other dogs while being dropped off. We feel because we were told this but saw with our own eyes that there is some dishonesty regarding the situation that occurred. We were also told that our dog bit his own tail because he was anxious. Our dog is over seven years old, we know our dog and we have never seen him bite his own tail so hard to make it bleed as much as it was. If our dog was so anxious that he did that I would hate to see what made him that way. When we loaded our dog in the car we had blood all over our legs and pants because he was bleeding so bad and our house had blood splatters all over it when we got home. Again, we appreciate the communication but they continued to argue about the dogs in open places when we saw it with our own eyes. We have never seen our dog shake and be so scared as he was when we picked him up. We will not be boarding our dog here again.
Response to below: we were worried about our dog and thatâs why we picked him up early and did not allow him to stay until Monday. It was also told to us that he didnât need to go to the vet and that he was fine (have no idea why you are saying you offered that). Also, the video that was sent to my husband mainly shows him bleeding and trying to lick his wound. We do not wish to discuss...
   Read moreTo all dog loves,
The individuals that work/own this establishment will go above and beyond to care for you loved fur-babies. Full disclosure I am writing this review without actually receiving any services from the company but my experience recently with a lost pet in the neighborhood has shed a light on the business that I feel compelled to share. I found a missing dog in the Hillcrest neighborhood and began my search for the owner. The owner of the company, Victoria, reached out to me stating she knew the dog. I was apprehensive handing over the dog without knowing the owner but instantly when I walked into the business they squashed any fear or apprehension with their positivity, treatment of the puppy, and their overall energy. Together we worked for an entire week to find the owner. It was a nightmare situation for the dog but after tirelessly working towards a solution that best served the dog it was resolved. The Dog Spot not only held onto the dog for an entire week, they ensured the owner (a college student out of town) was in a position for success to better raise the puppy, Whiskey. I am confident that the owner will learn from this experience and the dog is now in a safe position. The individuals at the Dog Spot have gained a lifetime advocate in myself and my family for their selfless care of this dog and how they were staunch advocates for the dog. I recommend this company to anyone and everyone who needs any services related to animals. They are amazing and I'm grateful for their business and loyalty to the Hillcrest neighborhood and all...
