Had the opportunity to have a date night and we wanted to find a patio since the weather was amazing. It was a Monday. We decided US Pizza would be a good spot. Close, and I've always enjoyed it there, but had also been a while since I've gone. First red flag was the guy slumped over in a chair as we walked up to the door. Our server seemed to not really know what they had to drink, but was also doing double duty as the bartender. We ordered the queso and salsa as an appetizer. 2 different beers that she said they had, she came back and said they didn't have it. My partner asked if they had Moscato, the server said they don't serve that there. It was only after ordering pizza that a drink menu was brought to us. Moscato was on their drink menu. We ordered an old fashioned and the strawberry Patron margarita. The server then groaned that an old fashioned was the hardest drink on the menu to make. I got a shot of whiskey with a beer instead. When the margarita was brought out she said, "I hope it tastes ok." I responded, "that didn't sound very confident." She replied, "I'm not really a bartender, I'm not sure if it's gonna taste good or not, I didn't ring it up just in case." It was terrible. We ended up getting our pizza to go bc the server then proceeded to take FaceTimes while walking around and apparently the man slumped over in the chair was her partner or something and she seemed distracted with him. Even with the terrible experience, I made sure to tip at least 20% bc everyone has a bad day and I get it, but def will have me thinking again about there. We don't get to have date nights a lot and want to have an enjoyable experience when we do, and this night was definitely forgettable. At least the pizza was good once...
Read moreOne word "GARBAGE". Waited 52 minutes exactly just for our appetizer. It was busy but nothing astronomical. After our appetizers arrived we confronted the manager regarding the situation, and she said and I quote "didn't know y'all were in a rush" . We advised that had we known the kitchen was so behind, we would have gone elsewhere or knew beforehand we would be waiting a while. She then said "Thank you, I'll take that into consideration." Lol great? It is understandable that restaurants get overwhelmed and are understaffed, but at LEAST give us a heads up. I appreciate that a LOT more.
To add: My girlfriend ordered a pizza that came with almonds and we all made it very very clear she has a nut allergy. The waitress then said she'd make sure they changed gloves before making her pizza. The pizza arrived with almonds after our hour and 20 minute wait for the meal. They did offer to remake the pizza, but why would we wait another hour?
Going to a restaurant excited to eat the food and only getting excuses and attitudes when people mess up really just kills the mood. The staff is garbage, the manager is garbage (the female manager with shaved undercut) and the meatball sub was even worse but I smashed it. Hunger is a real thing. Rip U.S Pizza
PS - the only server who is exceptional at her job is the dark haired lady with long hair who has worked there for many many years. Unfortunately, we never have her as a waitress, but if we ever visit this place again, she will...
Read moreMy first and last experience with this establishment. I was greeted by the kind man, whom I assume is hispanic, at the host station. I sat at the bar for almost 10 minutes and no one spoke to me. 3 separate "ladies" walked past me and didn't say hello, offer a menu, ask if I needed a drink, not even a friendly smile or nod. The kind gentleman had to finally give me a menu and, after even more waiting, eventually come take my order. These same "ladies" paid no attention to me while several other guests were greeted with kindness and smiles. I finally noticed I didn't look like the other customers and attributed this to the lack of acknowledgement. Another lady came from the back and within seconds said hello and smiled. This lady did in fact look like me. I thanked her for speaking to me and being kind. I couldnt take any more. It wasn't until I decided to cancel my order that one of the "ladies" I mentioned earlier finally acknowledged my presence and asked "Is something wrong?" As much as I wanted to give her a piece of my mind and let her know how wrong they were, I simply said "No." and thanked the two individuals who had showed me kindness before leaving. I would recommend treating ALL customers with kindness and respect moving forward. If everyone is not welcomed, at least let them know before they spend their hard earned money at your...
