There is private parking for this place and that is always a plus for sure.
Funny when we came in is the fact that they have nearly no Brazilians or Portuguese speakers there and that was pretty funny. I mean perhaps cause I am used to New York where you can find all sorts of nationalities.
We had a pretty slower than usual service but I am not sure that because it is a different state things are different as far as service speed or if this was an actually slower than usual kind of place.
The pace is very well decorated and the owner was pretty friendly coming by our table to say hello and ask about our experience.
A la carte! here is not a rodizio or a eat by weight kind of place. they do a la carte.
CAIPIRINHAS- they have caipirinhas for sure!!! they also have them in different flavors made out of real fruit. I had a regular and a strawberry one, I must say that the regular was far better, there were super large chunks of fruit and it was a bit annoying to get them through the straw.
SALSICHA E MANDIOCA- this is yucca and sausage, these 2 are meant to be a appetizer for a day of beer drinking but we went for it. not the best choice I must say, it will fill you up way too quickly and the flavor is nothing special, do leave this appetizer truly for that beer drinking night, it best I must say.
PAO DE QUEIJO - those are the cheese bread balls and they are very nice, I have eaten them since a young child and they are so cheesy and nice. they are tapioca flour breads so they are also gluten free (keep that in mind!) these cheese breads are always a great idea, so this is a must if you have never had them.
FEIJOADA- they have this meal on Saturdays, this is a very typical Brazilian dish that I would recommend anyone to try at least once. sadly here they do not do the traditional restaurant and family style way I am so used to, here they serve the dish as a regular a la carte pre made plate, also I noticed it came with an weird different piece of meat that I was not sure what it was, but I give the benefit of the doubt, perhaps where the power comes from that boiled inconspicuous chicken meat is something that is expected on a feijoada. with that said, the feijoada itself was pretty nice and tasty. the chicken thing was ok... but very confusing to be hones. I rather not have had that in there. overall it was a nice plate.
Overall it is interesting and nice to find a Brazilian place to eat here in the area, the downside is that as a Brazilian I was hoping for a little more life at the place.
I am gone from this area so I probably will not come back, if ou come by let me know hot it...
Read moreThe Cauli Balls are delicious; the honey glaze is amazing 👏🏽! I also had the kale and brussel sprout salad. It too was delicious! Now, the service was another story. The person I was with ordered the soup of the day. The manager was assisting a new server. This was the new server's first day. She actually did an amazing job. What I was most disappointed with was the manager's example of customer service. My friend was not impressed with the soup that was suggested by the manager. She sent the soup back after a few tastes. She asked for bread or crackers to try to get the soup to work. They did not have crackers, and the only bread had cheese on it. My friend has an allergy to cheese, so that wasn't an option. So, there ended up being an entire verbal exchange about the fact that the soup ended up on the check. The manager NEVER apologized for the soup being on the ticket. She actually wanted to argue the point that nothing was wrong with the soup, and it was something wrong with my friend's personal preference of feeling like the soup was missing something. My friend even told her that she would meet her halfway and pay $4 instead of the full $8 dollars for the soup. She still continued to argue with her about it. The manager left saying that she would "see what she could do about it." It was unnecessary, to say the least. She came back with it removed from the check. It left a bad taste in my mouth about the experience itself. In short, I will be ordering the two dishes that I fell in love with because if the manager is training her employees to treat...
Read moreHaving eaten here many times over the years, I was excited to take my family, now that the dining room is open. I am giving them three starts, based on my past experiences, as my most recent experience was a disaster... entered the restaurant at 7:00 pm and was promptly seated and served their phenomenal yucca cheese rolls, waitress too out drink and food order, since we already knew what we wanted, all great so far... 40 minutes later, not so much as a glass of water placed on the table, while four tables around us, who had entered well after we did, were being served water, cocktails and appetizers, not so much as a glance from our waitress, who was busy making drinks. Another group of four arrived 49 minutes after we did and we’re immediately served water by the same waitress who was supposed to be serving us. I finally got up, went to the bar where she was and told her to cancel our order, as we were leaving... she mumbled something about a shortage in the kitchen, to which I replied; water and cocktails don’t seem to be coming from the kitchen. While I will not discredit the food, as I’m certain it’s still delicious, should the service continue along this path, they will lose my long-term patronage. In the end, we ended up eating at Trio’s, which was perfect so far as service and food...
