I picked this Comfort Dental, located on Mineral and Broadway in Littleton, because it was close to my house, and they accepted my insurance. Due to several horrific dental experiences in my youth, I had avoided dental offices altogether, but 40 years later, I could no longer put it off. It was divine providence that I stumbled across Dr. Nina and the outstanding staff at Comfort Dental! That may sound over the top, but till I walked into their office, my oral care as an adult, had been solely based on brushing daily, two Tylenol, and prayer that my tooth related pain would quickly go away.
I was upfront with Dr. Nina about my fears and past traumatic experiences in the dentist's chair (the last being a root canal by a practitioner who would only use gas during the unforgettable procedure). She took in all that I told her, and after reviewing my x-rays (they appeared instantly on a computer screen when taken), she came up with a game plan. I then told her that I would have to stick to only what the insurance would cover, and without question, she tailored her original path to fit my financial concerns. Needless to say, especially since I'm rating five stars, the actual work she performed over the next several visits was 99.9% pain-free!!! She made sure the numbing gel (I don't know the actual name of the solution used) she'd applied to my gums had received the full amount of time before coming anywhere near my mouth with the needle. Her level of compassion for her patients was made even clearer when she thoughtfully asked if I was ready before starting any part of the procedure, and then once she'd received the green light from me, she would start her work.
She made sure that I knew if I felt any pain at all, I needed to simply raise my left hand, and she'd stop right then. During one of the two-hour sessions, I did have to raise my left hand, and she immediately stopped, asked if wanted to continue, and then injected more novocaine, once again waiting until it had fully taken effect before starting back at it. Dr. Nina also made me aware at all times what she was about to do each step of the way, so I would be well informed and understand what was about to happen. Her staff made sure that everything was covered, and they took the time to find out when my next allowed coverage would start so I could come back to continue the much-needed work.
Last month, June 2019, I finished my second round of treatments (6 more teeth drilled and filled), and July 2, I will happily return to begin the third phase, starting off with a root canal. With her exceptional work and doctor/patient manner and the office's knowledgable staff, I will be close to finally winning the battle that has been going on in my mouth for my entire adult life. I can't praise them enough!!! As one who suffered severely from unimaginable Dentist and their practice in their field, in the past, I personally highly recommend Dr. Nina and the crew at Comfort Dental to everyone, no matter how good or bad your past experiences with a different dentist have been.
They are truly amazing and well deserving of everything...
Read moreWent in due to a piece of one of my teeth breaking off, was told I needed a root canal done on it. Started the process that day and went back in a week later for it to be finished as well as had 3 cavities filled on the same side. I unfortunately have had a couple root canals before and after leaving the office the second time I felt like something was not right, thinking I was just being paranoid, I gave it a few days to let my mouth kind of heal but the pain did not go away. So decided to go with my gut and have a second dentist look and first problem that I saw (without needing an explanation from the doc): the root canal filling was coming out of the bottom of my tooth and was in my gums causing all the pain, I have been referred to a specialist to see if they can fix it or if the tooth now needs to be removed. Second: the 2nd dentist is trying to figure out what cavities they filled because from what they see, there was more work on the one side that needed done on any of the teeth that are on that side, so a lot of things were missed. I know I am not great with my teeth and I am paying the price for it, but this is not something I wish for anyone to have to deal with for even just a cavity fill.
Went to comfort dental in a different town, had no problems there, but this experience I will not be returning to them at all or referring anyone to them because what was missed and done is insane in the amount of work that is now going to be done to fix what was done finish what was supposedly...
Read moreVery rude employees. The dentist I seen was rude I was in the office in May for pain couldn't do anything to help me besides give me prescriptions because I didn't have my benefits okay. First of all the receptionist who sent over my prescription gave the pharmacy the wrong directions so when I got my prescription it said take four tabs by mouth before appointment... so I had to get clarification from the pharmacist because I couldn't even get an appointment cause I didn't have my benefits. When i was in the office the male receptionist was listening to voicemails on speakerphone so I heard a patients name phone number why she wanted to be seen everything on the voicemail which I'm pretty sure that's a HIPPA violation my husband heard as well.... Now I'm having pain again and the dentist was questioning me why I haven't came in to get it done when she knew I was waiting for my benefits to kick in between working two jobs and going to school I've finally gotten the time to come in to be questioned and have rude remarks made towards me and once again them messing around my prescription they said they were going to send over antibiotics and a pain medication to help with my pain for an abscess and they didn't even send the pain medication over . My mother received bad service here I've received bad service here just don't come here if you want work done because they're just going to mess you around all they care about is taking your money...
