I just picked up an online order from this location today. When I arrived back at work, I noticed one of my proteins-the salmon in my 2-protein bowl- was missing. Thats one of the more expensive proteins that would have made my $18 bowl worth it. That wasn't what made me give this place a 1 star it was the interaction I had with the employee after the fact. I called just to let the staff know that the salmon was not included in my bowl, and I asked for a partial discount or something equivalent for the mistake. The lady who "helped" me on the phone was VERY adamant she could not find my order in her system. She claimed she had NO orders all morning even though this is the ONLY location in southern Colorado for Poke Co, and I legit walked in to pick up my order 10 minutes before calling. She was fighting me about not having a order even though I kept trying to give her my order number that was bold printed on my receipt. that SHE gave me when I picked up my order. I'm not sure if this employee was gaslighting me because she didn't want to admit to an honest mistake or what but refusing to let me give you my order number and being so argumentative about having "no orders all morning" was infuriating. I won't be back, and I hope this employee gets some assistance from management on how to look up orders, and how to not...
Read moreWhat a nice little surprise. I didn't realize that we had a pokey place in the shopping center. It's kind of hidden behind a post and their windows are covered with advertising. But you open up the door and you find this wonderful little Hawaiian Poke restaurant. I designed my own bowl and I had no problem doing it because everything looked fresh and tasty.
The staff welcomed me as soon as I walked in and gave me plenty of time to review their menu. As soon as I was ready, they snapped to attention and helped me. There were three people working and they were all pleasant. Each item I put in my bowl was plentiful and the bowl filled up quickly. It only took a couple minutes to get my order which is good because there are a lot of people that were walking in behind me.
While they have ample seating, almost everybody got their food to go, which is normal for today. Some people had called their bowls or burritos in and just picked them up and some people spent the 2 minutes making their own. I did notice that some people walked in and picked up six to eight bowls, which indicates that the workers in the area find this a great place to eat.
I ate my bowl, down to the last grain of rice. I will...
Read moreWe've tried a few poke places now in this area, and this is by far our least favorite. The ingredients were so heavily doused in the sauce that it was almost impossible to taste the ingredients in your bowl, and the whole thing was just wet. One of the ingredients in our bowl must have been spoiled as well, because a few bites of the bowl tasted rotten. The fish was fresh at least, but all of the ingredients are extremely finely chopped, including the fish. Other poke places actually give you a substantial amount that you can taste it as you eat it with the rest of your ingredients. Also, it's a small thing, but every other poke place we've been to gives you miso soup with your meal, but this place does not and still charges more than surrounding poke places. Overall, if you want poke where you can actually taste the freshness of your ingredients, don't come here. We'd recommend trying...
